Is there a thread where is it shown when you reach Rookie status, User, Advanced User, Experienced User... If not, can someone create a thread that will be something like this?

But our current ranking system is a bit flawed; people almost never reach a purple user rank, since usually they become porters before that.
The next forum system we will use will change that however. (don't ask when, we also don't know yet)

I've got an idea for the purple ranks ( and others )

Why don't stick 1-3 ranks to every user

For example:

waves - He's one of the Moderators. He has only "Team Moderator" rank. Why not stick in a column the ranks he has? Ex

I guess the other ranks are taken over by other higher ranks :

Ex: Korich - admin, also submoderator of russian language subforum.

But yeah, the announcement was made for French, Italian, German and also Russian. I can cover French without problem, and, with some work, Spanish and Italian (learned those at College and Uni a few years ago, they are both still very rusted, but it helps me to read/write in those sections). German and Russian are covered by Admins.

I'm pretty sure when they'll find involved users for any of those sections, they'll increase the size of the Sub-Mod team, it's just that, so far, I'm the only one who have proved to be helpful in my section (posted a French FAQ, Wineskin Guide and Q&A).

Quick message to anyone interested to become a Sub-Mod team member : don't wait until you have the powers before you show some involvement, involve yourselves and powers will come to you ;)

i think it would be better to keep everything under one language. that way there won't be interesting information disseminated in different parts of the forum

Not everybody understands / is good in english. I'm more of a "let's translate as much info in as many other languages" guy. Of course, english is at the core of the project, but never forget most of the admins are Germans or Russians. Plus, it's not as if the languages subsections had more posts than the rest of the english forum. Right now, the languages subsections barely see any activities to be considered a "threat"...
