If you paste an https link, it gets an http:// prefix on it anyway, which ends up breaking the link when clicked on.

Ex:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2434550?start=0&tstart=0
Turns into
http://https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2434550?start=0&tstart=0

as a work-a-round you can just make sure to put URL tags on it and set it up right so it doesn't have to auto correct it.

Must've been something I broke the last time I patched up the forum. As I'm currently abroad for the next two weeks, I'll look into it at some point after I get back.

the only way around that worked for me was changing the https to http and when clicked on the link it will re-direct u to the https 'wierd'.

That'll be the target site's configuration, automatically recognising that it's not using a secure connection for that specific link and so redirecting you to the secure site. Not really an issue, but still, it's not a major hassle to sort out, just an extra filter to add in via the magic links check in phpbb.

I did a fair amount of updates in the previous version of the forum, and when I accidentally updated to the latest version I had to re-do what I remembered, so I might have missed or removed that. I'll look into it when I'm back home. Thanks for the report! :)
