I would very much like it if we didnt have restrictions for threads.

And further more I would like it if you changed the site color to something more bright and happy.

I think the restrictions is used to cut down on people that leach off peoples work...besides it not hard to get 3 good post and I mean good posts not something like AWESOME or COOL

Yeah, using 3 minutes to reply in f.ex the "How did you find porting team ?" thread, "introduce yourself" and one more random thread isn't much to ask. I really don't get those who just spam 3 posts and download.

We're such a small community and some support and respect is greatly appreciated, and needed, else we could just lock this forum and keep ports between people that actually do contribute.

One of the reasons I think it's better to post wrappers and not games, because with wrappers people actually does have to get the game themselves and are here to get a game they already have to run rather than just get here to get their quick game fix.

these two people were just spamming for posts.

The guy who posted the first comment had replied to himself to make this 3 posts... I just saw it and deleted the second two spam posts, but I'm sure the jerk grabbed his stuff and left before any of that happened.

maybe the port topics should be hidden until they get the post count or maybe even raise it to 5

I myself would like to see the whole full game section sealed off until people got access by mods.
(Would perhaps require posting in some threads and other than that have a certain post count, I'm pretty sure everyone that is slightly interested in games could post at least 10 post without spamming)
But that's me, it might be a bad idea, but we would most likely get rid of much of the spam.

but still most people might see that as a really big restriction and probably would see lots of abandoned accounts and it would be another thing the mods would have to do everyday is look to see who should be approved or not...unless they get a few others to do that...but I guess this topic should be closed or deleted

More restrictions = more spam. I agree that some sections (Full Game, for instance) need to be "deserved" by users, but the higher we place the restrictions, the more we'll have to deal with spam from n00bs. There is already enough of it as it is, I even saw a guy starting his own "My posts" and just made like 10 posts, counting from one to ten.

The "thankers", as devilhunter used to call them, are probably the best ofthe spam quad : at least they thank you for your work! The "gravediggers" and other spammers should be banned (but they could simply start another account, so banning would be useless, unless banning IP... but would it be worth the effort?). The real problem is balance ; how do we keep it between the needs of the users, requirements to acces said needs and hassle to keep order?

If there is a problem with one of my wrappers, please let me know by posting on the game thread AND by sending me a pm.
If there are no problems, then a little "Thank you!" is always heart-warming! ;)

There will be a new system in place for when we move boards. It'll be a lot better then the 3-post rule we have now

I can understand the use of the restrictions.
