Suggestion to the new form for ports.

Since Intel GMA is long time gone and Intel HD has taken over and is the maybe most used card these days I suggest adding it.
Most games that doesn't work on GMA works just fine on intel HD and users might get confused about the GMA vs HD and think the port won't work, since they have a Intel Card.
Solution? Remove GMA with HD or add another Intel HD option.
Also the Cider wrappers says it works from 10.5 to 10.7, but most wrappers that work on 10.7 doesn't work on 10.5 and the wrappers that work on 10.7 doesn't work on 10.5
Game needs crack, make an option for this?
Adding and option for "Works out of the box" with steam or www.gog.com could be added too (guess this is where most people gets their games these days)?
If you add revloader to the wrapper (which I've done with about ten of my ports) will make a default steam installation work just fine.

Apart from that, it's generally implied that a crack would be desired. According to the Wine Project pages, most copy protection schemes don't work. It would probably be more effective to have a "Crack Unnecessary" option that can be checked.
As for the Intel thing, I fully agree with you... although HD 3000 is still no good.

The Intel GMA field name stays there unfortunately, because even if they are lots faster than years ago, they are still missing shader pipelines and so on.
Making these GMA/HD cards not a 'useful' video card.
Plus we have thousands of GMA macbook users here.

The Intel HD has extremely good support. I've yet to had any ports not working that works on nvidia with the exception of Gothic 3 which has some minor graphics issues.
And I've tried over 30 ports on it, although it's slow, it still beats the hell out of the nvidia 9400M my brother has, also most new cider official ports do have Intel HD support.
The GMA on the other hand is mostly incompatible with most of these.
I think other members can confirm this. I do believe the Intel HD has as good or better compatibility than AMD,
but of course it's slower than the 3000 and newer series.

I've noticed that the main image seems a bit out of place. Would it be possible to switch it to the other side (left as opposed to right side) so as to conform a bit more to the old style of post. Can the image size be change to better reflect the dimensions of a game box?
Just a thought

Invision Power choose to make everything picture related square from IPB v3.
Avatars, Thumbnails, Pcitures, etc.
They said it would be easier to create templates around square Pictures.
Other people nagged about this as well, just like with the problematic Rich Text Editor

Adding another field to the category view will increase the height of the column and uglyfl things a bit.
What we can do however, is renaming the Intel GMA field to Intel Video to make things a bit more general.
Or perhaps make some additional entries in the Intel Video dropdown box then:
GMA Green (playable)
GMA Red (unplayable)
...
HD Green (playable)
HD Red (unplayable)
These are more a general overview what the porter has tested, not 100% reliable video card reviews
Additional Info about Graphic Cards can be made in the Port post itself.

I acknowledge it's a pain for the colorblinds out there (it's showing a colored - green/red/yellow/orange/gray - orb instead of the text), but you can read the color's name in the ALT text (I'll also add it as a tooltip) for the image or by visiting the port's pages. The compact view is only used in the category listings.
I updated all existing ports to make the Intel HD info appear on them, as follows:
- If there was a note in the port description, I used that info to fill the field
- If Intel GMA was green, I've set Intel HD to green. There would be no reason to do otherwise
- If Intel GMA was red, orange, yellow or gray, I've set Intel HD to gray.
Right now, both Intel GMA and Intel HD use the same icon. It'll be changed ASAP to something more meaningful.

Some of the games I've uploaded include standalone expansions. If I upload each wrapper seperately there is no was to didtinguish which is which aside from making notes in database post. I was wondering if it would be possible to create an editable field in the "Step 1: Select your port(s)" drop down box that can be specified to the exact wrapper that is being downloaded. What I mean is, instead of the green button with the text "Wrapper Download (Wineskin)" would it possible to create a selection that the user can edit him/herself, so in my case I'd like to edit the buttons to say "Blood Sport (Wineskin)" , "Blood of Sahara (Wineskin)" , "Blackout Saigon (Wineskin)"
Would something like that be possible?

Another thing, how about instead of using these coloured orbse here

you could use coloured letters (G for green, Y for yellow, O for orange, R for red and G for gray)? That way colourblind people could see it immediately and the rest of us can still see the colour.

Ah, that's because of the new, bigger icons. I'll fix the stylesheet for that later today.

Or symbols, such as a green tick mark, a red X, a gray question mark, a yellow dot/bullet/circle/whatever and a orange exclamation mark. (to avoid using 'G' for both green and gray). I used the orbs because those were the only small icons I had at hand (I'm bad at graphic stuff, heh)
