Looks like MegaUpload is already making their way out of the grave...

Pretty sure it's legit
If that's sarcasm, then ok...
But if it was not, the fact that the feds seized 50M$ in server & other equipment from MU or most staff have been contained doesn't bother you in this story?

I've been reading a bit up on the dirt the feds uncovered on Megaupload.
They faked pretty much enything in their 'legal proceedings' with the industry, and dare i say the feds had the right to close them down.

I know it seems farfetched, a friend of mine told me about it...and I thought only seven of the staff were contained. A company making $175,000,000,000.00 could very well have another $50,000,000 in servers elsewhere at another location. But that last statement of yours is quite ineteresting...I didn't read anything about that but if it's the case then it had nothing to do with SOPA being thrown out congress and I agree that maybe there was justification to knock them off their horse.

Yeah most of my ports were on there but what really pisses me off was i was planing on launching a youtube series of movie reviews in May when I start summer break. I had filmed a a few episodes during my winter break and backed them up to megaupload so now I have to re-film and re-edit them but I wont have time because I start class again on monday
Ports are down because of Megaupload being shut down Busy with School and Work will try to RePost in Summer

Megaupload had over 500 servers in the US alone, I highly doubt they would open a lousy IP-only based server while trying to recover, especially considering the very serious situation they're in.

this web of trust thing doesn't mean anything. it's just a user ranking. not really serious (perhaps not more serious like the page itself :-P).

but well mu had servers in new zeeland, netherlands, canada, us... so propably they have still access to some. the arrested ones are just a few to find a guilty person. the same thing the gov does everytime (julian assange, manning, bin laden, sadam hussein...).

Aaaand Filesonic now just bit the dust.
This one made me shed a tear...

fileserve, filejungle and wupload are from the same company.
Expect harakiri from them later too.

uploaded.to also closed it's doors to US visitors.

lots of video sharing sites like videobb.com or videozer.com also removed ALL of their content today without notice.

perhaps they all finally read this: http://www.scribd.co...Mega-Indictment
and something sounded familiar ;)

and to call it mega conspiricy is ridiculous. usa thinks again it's the center of the earth. but to deal with the western system you have to deal with that the us have forced their system to most of the other states. so capitalism seems to be usa'ism. it doesn't work anymore and the us want to rescue all money they can before everything will go down. it's all about money, every war, every counterstrike on a so called conspiricy...

but it's too sad... let's wait what's happening with one of the top lawyers Robert Bennett. fight back with dirty mud...

As long as we have 2shared, 4shared, and fileape there are still plenty of options.
At least we still have p2p connections. At least, before they are targeted next.

True, but I find them useful even if I know that red won't mean that 1000000 viruses will jump into my drive.

with a bsd system like mac os there is today no real known virus. there just some application that require your admin rights. if there is a dangerous application on your system that wants to be executed for the first time it will require that you give him root access. so you have to type your admin password. if you know what you are doing there is a very little change that you get infected.

but i can't preclude backdoors that are in excisting applications. like in ios there are some that can be used by "security firms" or states to get access. for that see the spyfiles from wikileaks...

You misunderstand... I'm saying that I'm not taking the red status as if that scenerio occurs. I am merely stating that users are reporting it as phisting. Nothing more, nothing less.

There are plenty of backdoors. A friend of mine executed a safari (on mac) exploit that allowed him to access my file-system with root access.

Thx to the ******* US SOPA thing, megaupload has closed. I think mediafire should be a good uploading/downloading website for now.

Watch your language here.
And it wasn't SOPA. SOPA was dropped 3 or 4 days ago: http://www.washingto...JdEQ_story.html

The US government has been planning this raid for years, it was a very precisely planned and coordinated action of several countries.
