Hello, I'm new here. I thought it would be great to get Skyrim on my Mac, since I loved it so much on XBox.
However, there's a problem... I haven't very much experience with torrents and am looking for some assistance such as what port to use for my torrents, and how to get the cider skin of Skyrim onto my Mac (Lion 10.7 if it helps) so I can have Skyrim on this as well as my XBox.
I'm sorry for such a mundane concern, but if you could any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, but this isn't a piracy site, so I can't tell you what to do. Google is your friend. Also, Transmission is probably the best Mac torrent client.

Kudos. It's not everyday that a gamer, ensconced in a world of dumbed-down game consoles (and too infrequent save points in games), would stick his neck out of the video game woodwork, and ventures forth into the hectic streets of bright lights and big cities. Chaos welcomes you.
But for your sake I'd recommend staying on your game console. Since you're asking about "what port to use for your torrent" (there's only 1) and "how to get the cider skin(?) of Skyrim onto your Mac" (you download the wrapper, drag into your Applications folder, like any Mac program).
So in short, if you still want to go down the path of chaos (and probably disintegration of your social life), at least learn to read the stickies.You can start by clicking on the Tutorial tab above.
