I`ve read in a topic that the guy successfully made it run using this configs: "Wine 1.3.17, Winver to nt4.0, ddr=gdi, then added max vram to 16 MB in registry" I want to know how do I set this configs.

Well Wine 1.3.17 is the engine right? But what WInver, ddr and how I add 16MB cram?

My Mac OS X Version:

Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3

My Mac Model, GPU & CPU:

Macbook PRO = AMD Radeon HD 6770M / 2,4 GHz Intel Core i7  / 4GB

Error Log(s):
< replace this string with: Error Log (if possible) from the Wrapper. Paste the Error Log here if it's not too long, otherwise use pastebin.com >

WIne 1.3.17-> make a Wineskin wrapper with WS8Wine1.3.17

Winver: inside wineskin.app (inside the wrapper you made) you have a tool called wine cfg, set Windows version to Nt4.

DDR=GDI inside wineskin.app you have wine tricks, search for ddr=gdi and apply
(DDR is short for DirectDrawRender)

Set max VRAM in registry. Inside wineskin app open reg edit.
got to : HKEY_CURRENT_USER-> software->wine->direct3d.
Adda new "string" call it "VideoMemorySize" set it to 16

If this is still unclear I'd suggest looking at some tutorials at wineskin's website.
Ofc, if there is just one or two things, you get we'll help you out.

I`m having problems with the last step. There is already a string called VideoMemorySize, it`s type is REG_SZ, is it right? Should I create a new expandable string ?

Just one more thing, I tried to run without the last step and a white screen appears.

No just set it to 16.

You might go to Screen settings in wineskin.
Then disable "Auto detect GPU"

Yes, you have to do that or it won't work. First disable the setting, then go edit the registry.

I just finished installing and modding the game, I'll have to play until I get my first spell, spellcasting was where the game broke on Windows, so I'd like to make sure that works before i upload the port.

Another important thing is the order in which mods are installed. i was following this guide:
http://thunderpeel20...lly-modded.html
The order listed there won't work (at least it didn't for me). First install the fixpack, then unfinished business and then the tweakpacks. Finally, install Bigg's Widescreen and as a last mod install Ghostdog's UI.
Also, the widescreen mod is a little different than the rest, it's one of those self-extracting archives. First install the downloded EXE like you would install a game or patch, you get a nice GUI, you select your path, usual stuff. Then once the GUI is gone it will look like Wineskin is stuck. Quit the installer by right-clicking the icon in the dock. Now you will find the actual installer in you Torment directory, just like all the other mods. Install it just like all the other mods before.

One final not, in order to install mods you need to extract the contents of the archives in your torment directory (the one where your Torment.exe lies, inside the wrapper). In Wineskin select the mod's installer EXE as the the Windows EXE (instead of Torment.exe) and check "use start.exe". You can leave that checkbox set, it won't hurt. Change the Wndows EXE for every mod and when you are done change it back to Torment.exe

EDIT:Yes, raising the dead works without affecting the frame rate! Port will be uploaded soon, either today or tomorrow.
Games I own that still need porting:
Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, Descent 3, Fallout, Space Rangers 2

Aaaaand, here it is:
http://portingteam.c...escape-torment/

Credit goes to cluthz for figuring out the proper Wine settings. Tried all the mods and spellcasting, everything seems to work. Also, no disc required.

Great job hiPhish!

I've been thinking of releasing it myself, for quite a while, but I haven't had much time testing it at all, maybe an hour or so.
I used the www.gog.com version and it can be installed directly inside the wrapper.
I did also use the same mods as you (mod info from: http://www.gog.com/e...ods_guide/page1)
I don't like to release games I haven't had time playing for at least 4-5 hours.

Just finished the game, had an old save file from before. Aside from a few crashes everything worked out fine. The crashes are most likely bugs in the game, not Wine, so hitting Q every now and then is a good idea.

Well, it's over... I can see what others see in this game, it is truly unique and the story is pretty good for a video game. It's just that the game promises more than it gives you. A world where thoughts define reality? Nope, that's nowhere in the game. Exploring the planes? Nope, everythign is a grey-brown mess and there is no real difference between the hive and any other place except different NPCs.

My disappointment is not so much with what the game is, but all the stuff I'm promised but I get none of it. That's the sort of thing where I whish people would explain what they love about this game and why it is supposed to be so great (i.e. the story and nothing else) rather than just praising it as the best RPG ever.
