So guys, here is the deal.

I have ported Mass Effect 3 with Cider nonetheless :)!!!!

OMG

Everything is absolutely fabulous!!! Graphics, gameplay, everything!

However the audio doesn't work.  First person to fix this will get a secondary credit to the port!!!

Not quite sure how to fix this one so i will tell you guys what i have done.  I always copy over the .regs so thats not an issue.

-Installed directx
-Tried dsound (didn't work)
-Tried Mac Core Audio
-Tried some of the direct sound settings...

PLEASE HELP!

You tried all the everything possible.  Apparantly, sound works in wineskin, you could give that a try.

I started the preload now, gonna take 10 hrs
Doesn't unlock until tomorrow tho.

Once I have it up and running I'll start going thru logs and see if there is something useful to find.

BTW, I can't wait for this port!  I have the exact recomended requirements!

Hehe my soon 3 year old rig is still way above the System reqs, gotta love how console makes games that can run on old hardware

@ wMin17, If you are referring to the minimum specs I wouldn't get your hopes too high. Most often if the minimum specs required are, let's say the ATI X1600....it's almost guaranteed that you will require the ATI 2600HD in order play it with enjoyable performance.

@ ryno, did you try the audio fix that helped Drak fix the audio in WaW?

hey guys, you know whats funny is i don't think it will work on mac in wineskin.  tried everything there and can't even get videos to play.

you might not need most of these, but it's at least reported working.

Me And Battleifer working on port i got him the game early he has port everything done i sent him crack he upload it soon. i think he got it perfect on wineskin. he has different GFX Card so idk if cider work for all GFX  but i just saying he has the port

Could some be so kind to send me the updated origin client files...I can't get me3 launched without them. I try to download the update but I guess the connection crashes and I get an increasing file...The last file it created was 57GB when the update is only 39mb.

Edit: Should be version 8.5.0.4554

what you get worked  in cider without sound or in wineskin ?

I'm getting a physx error in cider. I have installed latest physx, but it doesn't work :/

have same issue (with mass effect 2 too)

I got it working using an older physx for some reason.
Game launches fine, intro video but crashes once i reach the ea login (yes i have cracked it)

GOt it running in both (with the login crash) in both 5413, 6635 and 7081 I used physx 9.10.x not 9.11.x thats bundled

hmm can you sent me please a wrapper with physixs 9.10 support

works with the latest dragon age wrapper that someone made a merge with the slightly older one too.

its the latest cider version so not sure which one you guys will prefer.

however because i was the first person to figure this out and get it working (minus the audio) can i make the post?

I have the game running in wine with sound, but it does not have 360° movement..
Damn mac os limitations..

i think he mean he get it under linux to run

Getting audio to work in wine was pretty easy. I just installed dx9_42, xact and xaudio and it worked
