Recently just about everything I've hosted on Mediafire is taken down!
Files with cryptic file names too.

Any suggestion for a new host?
Mediafire is not an option anymore. :/

I have no idea why they delete the files tho, wrappers are at worst a grey zone in terms of piracy.
I rather not start uploading to media fire again, since my files are dropping like flies these days.

Maybe Mediafire deleting some files uploaded from Norway or other countries? I'm not sure.

I'm not the only one, there was a port about this a week ago or so

Maybe try personal file managers like dropbox. They have a public folder option that's shareable.

Yes but if a file on dropbox gets downloaded a lot the file will get deleted.

(I just realized how old this thread was, (/fail) but I seriously think you should try making a new account as I have all kinds of stuff on there (even entire PSP games) and don't have one file down yet.)

i have crap loads of stuff on mediafire.. and I log into the site every day... never had a problem.

if you don't log in for a while (30 days I think) on a free account, its possible you can get deleted cuz you stuff isn't safe anymore.

I've definitely been gone for longer periods then that and I haven't had one thing deleted... it might just be the account being flagged, cluthz

your files are open to deletion after 30 days without you logging in... it doesn't mean it'll happen, it just means it can.  They may only do purges like that periodically... so you may get lucky and go 8 months... then they feel like they need a purge so they select counts  that say haven't been logged in over 90 days and purge... or whatever.  So yes, they may stay a long time, but they will not be safe if you do not log in to your account regularly.
