While I agree with you, (and I could actually understand you, nice job!) there isn't really much we can do.

The case is same for DirectX, I believe.

then you can fix all the problems . LOL
But the only thing you can do now is probably suggest it on the winehq .

We all knew what we were getting ourselves into when we bought our Macs. Being able to play some games without Windows is a great thing, but it's not something we can rely on. That's why I still have a Windows partition on my hard disc.

it isnt an problem but directx 10 and 11 are the problems because the most game engines are dropping at the moment dx9 support and change to dx10 and dx11 (like cryengine 3)
As far as i know only Avalance 2.0 (just cause 2/renegade ops) and frostbite 2.0 (battlefield 3) are DX10+.
Crysis 2 did use the CryEngine 3, Crysis 3 will use 3, CryEngine 3 is dx9.
Btw CryEngine 3 works on iOS:

Welcome to open source software:
If you want a bug fixed or a feature sooner, go and write it yourself or pay someone to do it for you.
Otherwise, drop any air of entitlement and stop whining.

I will tell you this... I am in the process of attempting to start a software company. While Wine related things are NOT gong to be a number one concern... its about making original games, that will be mac compatible natively from the start... later down the road a few years, if there is extra money, and we (if there is ever more than an *I* in the company) would probably start some porting services and invest in paying some people to do some specific support entries to Wine... I'll also tell you that I am *not* that worried about what the Wine devs think, and if they don't like the code, we'll still use it even if it doesn't make it into main Wine branch, which means it might get forked off. But all of that will likely be a minimum of 3 years from now, as I need to get some games out of the door first.
If anyone is looking to be part of a new company for no pay (until the company is successful at least), you can drop me a line (doh123@doh123.com)... I wouldn't ask you to do anything i wouldn't do though, so I'm not being paid either, in fact I'm paying for everything, and getting nothing :-) There would be no compensation for anything until a profit is made, meaning... it could be a year or two to get a good game done, but if we work hard and make some great games, the pay off will be later on... so don't quit your day job, I'm not... at least not yet, but someday I'd love to make running this company my #1 and only job, and have some employees.
The company (I cannot name yet because I'm still trying to get trademarks and registrations done) is about making games that players want to play. Games are not designed by committee. We want to hear what players want in a game... we want feedback. No stupid company game forums set up where no one actually reads them but other players. The number one goal is so that the player (aka customer) has a fun game and a great experience anytime they need to interface with the company. We want ideas from the players, make changes based on what the players want... the company's primary goal is not about making money... its about making fun games that people want to play.... that work good on multiple platforms.
The main games I like, and want to try to make at first would be turn based strategy (looking at a scifi/tech/space based turn based strategy game), and RPGs... probably and old school style RPG at first, meaning focused less on fighting/action and fancy graphics, and more on story.

Linux is the #1 priority for the Wine project .
Thats why Linux has a official wine build while mac osx is left with only third party solutions.
