[Alsey Coleman Miller]

So do any of you guys know C or Cocoa? i can't download Xcode because i have an Hackintosh with only 10.7 not the newest.

Cocoa is a APi
and mac osx i programed in -c

I know -c .

Also , heres a tutorial on how to update hackintosh to 10.7.3

The new kernel breaks my OSX86. By '-c' 'minus c' you mean C programming language? i learned C but know i need to move on to objective C.

there is a big difference between c and -c

You can make an account on developer.apple.com (free) and download an older version of Xcode.
I'm still mostly using 3.2.6, since 4.2.x and newer doesn't have a proper GCC compiler, but the llwm one instead.

I know cocoa and objective-c and I've never heard of "-c" ... what does knowing that have to do with getting Xcode?  Also, 10.7 is the newest.

i meant having 10.7.3 thats the newest and required for Xcode from the mac app store. well i was learning Objective C from Hillegass, Aaron 'Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X' until i tried to update my hackintosh, broke it and reformatted it. Now that i can get the old version i used to have i can do the sample programs provided in the book. so thats how learning objective c had to do with getting Xcode. And i was just curious of how many people besides you that are porters know programming languages.

I haven't heard anyone call objective-c "-c". Its usually abbreviated as "obj-c"

That is a wonderful book. I got most of my obj-c (the correct abbreviation, btw) knowledge from this book and the apple documentation. After the first 4 chapters, I actually did not took a look into the book anymore, since all the logic of this language is explained in there and the online documentation from apple is enough at this point to write any program, if you take your time to figure out the best way. I remember the most difficult part of programming was at the beginning to write something really clean, you are happy with. It can be very annoying, if you are such a perfectionist like me. I do not want to release anything, I would not use myself.

have you ever wondered why they name programming languages after C (with exception of java , web based languages , python , rugby etc )
And c sharp  is not the same as A flat

i prefer writing -c ... its much easier , it saves time then to write out obj-c

maybe to 1 or 2 people in the world you know... not to most of the world.  i think I'll make it oC!!  I really hate when people say something that they cannot back up and then say "it just is, don't question it!"
