Yet another port. Funny thing is that this game was running quite well for the time I was able to play it but it has it's quirks. I've solved most of them through downloading various .dll files and changing the speed of the app but I've run into something the internet hasn't been able to solve. Only noticeable error I can find is this "wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000000c at address 0x7bc3b8bc (thread 0027), starting debugger..." and "err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x7bc3b8bc". Other than that the game checks out fine. Would really appreciate help, this game is basically clean aside from these small errors.

My Mac OS X Version:
Mac OS X 10.6.7

My Mac Model, GPU & CPU:
Macbook NVIDIA GeForce 9400M & 2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Error Log(s):
LastRunWine.Log: http://pastebin.com/TvewpH47
LastRunX11.Log: http://pastebin.com/n3K9tyyj

This often happens when using native dlls, are you using any dlls overrides ? (you didn't post what you did so far, so it's hard to determine the error)

*GAHK* My bad. In anycase, what I've done so far is set the DDR to gdi, set Directsound hardware acceleration to Emulation and download/install all DirectX9 .dll files. other than that, that's all I've basically done.

EDIT: I checked my libraries and I'm using native versions of all DLL files which go from d3dx9 24-43.

Another thing.. I presume that with wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000000c at address 0x7bc3b8bc  the game crash (at least it should :). Also, you did not stated what quirks (sound? graphics? crashes?). Not all messages means there is something wrong.

Yeah, and that's basically all that happens. The game runs smoothly up until a certain point and just *BAM* crash.

Okay...rewrite. Apparently the game CAN crash if you get to certain points of the game and you actually "read" what's going on, AKA progress through a part of the game too slowly. You can actually get past the crash area simply by just clicking really fast and getting past that area that the crash occurs. I just re-tested the game and I past it with me flying through the text using the enter button. I guess it's just a bug that'll re-occur for quite awhile, sorry for the trouble. At least there's a walkaround of some sort

P.S. you think they'll let me post this on here? The game itself is 18+ but IDT you can get any of that from a wrapper <.<

Hmm, only thing what comes to my mind is issue with sound. If I am right, these games change music according what's happening, if you actually read what's said, the music must loop (start again), but probably wont, and game will crash instead. Can you please verify, it this is leading to crash ?

Dunno about the 18+, the game itself is in Japanese, which is not commonly used language there :)

Hmmm...the music loops fine (at least in the area I tested it in) so I don't think that the music not looping is causing the crash. Though there is a small bug that I'm noticing now. In certain parts of the game you "transform" into objects, in these small cutscenes the audio plays before the initial transformation scene occurs, the video actually lags behind the audio. I don't find it TOO bad a bug, but it's something that could be perfected <.< There are still some parts of the game I have yet to test which include "Combo Transformation" scenes. In these scenes you are able to "Combo" into transformations. IDK exactly how that'll work in the game but hopefully wine will be able to run it in the way the game was originally mean't it to be in <.< I'll progress through the game some more and let you if anything else comes up and/or if I get anymore insight on the reason for the crashes.

Don't worry, we currently have no policy against 18+ Ports (well, as long as any adult material is properly identified as such, and any screenshot, if posted, is under [ spoiler ] tags).  We're actually planning on making a specific section in the Port Database for adult material, so that it won't be mixed with other things.

As for the problem you reported, is the memory address it shows (0x7bc3b8bc) always the same?

The A/V desync is probably caused by the sound Emulation setting.
Back to those crashes, is the crash always reproducible at same scene? (If so, does it crash when writing some symbol on screen? try to investigate little more, if it can be skipped, it can be determined exactly what is causing the crash)

Also, please provide us with full crash and wine log

Alright, I've been trying to get back to the scene I was using as the example but unfortunately another crash area has appeared and this time I can't get past it with my original workaround (spam click) I'm only spit-balling here but I think it's because the game is going from a CG background to normal background, whether this is correct or not IDK.

Here's the Wine/X11 Logs:

Here's the Wine/X11 Logs:
Wine: http://pastebin.com/YQpX1CHz
X11: http://pastebin.com/G6duJVzZ

Only thing what i see in log is

fixme:qtsplitter:QT_QueryInterface No interface for {56a868b3-0ad4-11ce-b03a-0020af0ba770}! << IBasicAudio interface
fixme:qtsplitter:QT_QueryInterface No interface for {2dd74950-a890-11d1-abe8-00a0c905f375}! << IAMFilterMiscFlags

But this should not cause crash, only Audio lag/decync/skip, also maybe missing codecs (try to add ffdshow via winetricks)

Is the Winelog complete ?

Fixed that crash by setting the speed back to Full. IDK, my mac was acting weird for a while, had to restart <.< Anyway, back to the original sight of the crash. The original workaround works again, but I think a different error is appearing than the one I posted in the first logs. I installed ffdshow and the audio seems to be intact now.

Sorry Julus but by Winelog do you mean the test run files or do you mean something else. If so I don't know how exactly to do it <.<

LastRunX111.log: http://pastebin.com/gp2QSdtw

EDIT: Transformation scene still lags, but I guess that can't be helped <.<

I mean the LastRunWine.log - the crash indicated by:
wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x159e1000 at address 0xffff132f (thread 0028), starting debugger.
There should be crash log. If it's not generated into LastRunWine.log it should be generaten on screen to wine windows (ctrl+c cmd+v it somewhere)
It should begin something like this:
wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address 0x0 (thread 0009), starting debugger...
Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000000 in 32-bit code (0x00000000).

I'll try looking into Henshin 2. I only wanted to play this one because it was the only one I really knew about. Henshin 2 and 1 are basically unknown territory. I'll try look at the CG sets and see if I like what I see <.<

Please wait for next wine release, from the patches I can see they made some changes in codecs (implemented new functions), and fixed some DX9 issues as well. New wine should be out later today (dunno about WS9 version)

Downloaded new Wine9, now I have to re-install the game :( Wait for me on this one guys, going to take a while. I'll edit this post once I get it re-installed and re-do everything I did in the previous wrapper.
