In some languages, you have to. They aren't just decorative. In Italian, for example, saying “è” (verb to be, translates as “is”) is quite different from saying “e” (conjunction, translates as “and”) - and there's plenty of other cases like that. If you skip accent marks, people may be unable to figure out what you're saying.

I know that, but if Blinx doesn't take the time to spellcheck his english, I doubt he'd take the time to put accent marks on the words. I don't most of the time, but I'm not learning Spanish or a common language, so I don't have to worry about speaking it.
Oh and Blinx, please enable autocorrect on your computer. It'd be very helpful to understand you.
