[REQ] Alice: Madness Returns

I bought this for PC, but for some reason I could never get it to install. AppDB now has it listed as platinum, which means making a port should be possible. Yay!
Game Description:
Alice: Madness Returns is a sequel to the classic game American McGee's Alice (which is one of my favourite titles of all time). It switches between Alice's imagined version of Wonderland, and her home city of London. It's a third-person action-adventure, and Alice's second attempt to save Wonderland from danger.

To run I've installed vcrun6 vcrun2005 (also installed vcrun2008 and vcrun2010, but don't know has it any influence on game) and xact with winetricks. Than _removed_ all dll overrides in winecfg.
To have sound working i switched to Windows 7 emulation mode, by the way, in Windows 7 mode game runs more faster.

I've never really ported anything before, so I'd be willing to give it a go. The main issue, however, is that I am unable to install the game so that it is playable; installing it in Parallels means that it hangs when it is trying to do the legitimacy check, and so it won't run. If I could fix that, maybe I'd be able to make a wrapper for it, although I don't really know how to go about it. What tool do you use? Something like WineBottler?
Cheers,
Franklint

It's funny how the colors of the real world only seem really real when you viddy them on the screen.

EDIT: I suspect the cracks don't work in wineskin. (skidrow, theta and reloaded)
what about a cider port, could 't solve the cracks problem?

Dude, that's not the point, you will need the retail DVD version (or possibly steam version) to play the mac port. I made a port, i'm just not able to test it without the DVD. Just buy me the DVD retail so i can make and test a proper port. I will send it back and post the port here.
Or if you find me a good low prized version I will buy it myself. I will only spent my time in porting. Please help, not nag!

maybe steam is the way to do it?
I was not able to test any of my ports, cause I could not test the game in the end. I send my wineskin port to Dragonnessa who claimed he had the retail disk to test it, but he just had the same dvd image as mine. dead end . . .
we need some more porting experience here That's for sure!
