You use certain iPhone / Android apps (I use red laser) to read the binary code that is represented by the box above...every two lines represents one line of code being either high or low (1 or 0) That particular representation reads as the url for the porting team website so when you scan it with your the camera of your phone the app translates it to the url and opens the phone's main browser and directs it to the Porting Team website.

I use QRReader for iphone...its quick and easy and saves the codes you have scanned for access at another time.

Ohhh... Now I get it! But, wouldn't it be easier to just type the url in?

hahaa....I was kind of tipsy when I posted that last night. I'm pretty sure that qrr code is not actually made up of binary timing tables at all....I'm not really sure how they work but the essence of the explanation was correct.

Phone or by pasting the image url onto this site http://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx
Still much easier to type the url >.< at least until our OSs include some QR decode tool.

Actually... now that i think of it, that should be a built in feature for any OS, seeing how popular QR codes has come to be. Something like mouse over any QR image and get the contents in a tooltip. Maybe something like this: http://cl.ly/411S2j2E3O0B1x2D1u30 that gotta be cool uh?
