YES!
We'll see how this 'official' wrapper stands up against the wrapper that cluthz and I made soon. ;)

Seeing as the official Wither 2 needs dotnet4 now I guess they are going with maybe native.
Witcher 2 in it's current state would only be viable on Mac Pros and top en iMac, as the MPB with 6770M is really not enough to play this fluently.

If they make a native build I'm gonna cry of happiness! The guys at CDProject are so nice, no DRM, amazing support and they listen to their community!

this is reallllllllly getting annoying. It seems like you just discovered memes and you're posting your favorite one everywhere.
Why would they be trolling? If they just came back and were just like 'loljk' then there'd be an outrage!
Also, I was the other guy..

They said Witcher 1 did good, so they are doing a native port for Witcher 2.

That is great news!
I was also a bit puzzled why they didn't make W1 native, as it uses BioWare Aurora which already runs native on mac, could have been a licensing issue with EA/BioWare.

I hope this is yet another step in bringing more mac games to the masses!

Not really, the Witcher 2 has graphic requirements which does not corresponds to the graphic you see. - In a good way, even in the low details the graphic are amazing. and my old rig (Phenom 2 X3, Radeon 4850), was able to run the game on full details flawlessly (without super and ubersampling).

The only thing which worries me, is that CD Projekt does not have much experiences with mac programming. So I expect same issues with the game as when the The Witcher 1 was released on PC (long loading times, unstability, fps issues), but maybe, they will surprise me :)

It might not be worth getting it on GOG if you intend on playing the Mac native version since GOG doesn't have any equivalent to steamplay and don't offer Mac games as of yet.

I'm curious as to what the sound support will be like in the mac version of TW2 since it's native.. it's more likely to have full surround sound support because of that. But it's not guaranteed as many native ports don't have it or even specific pro logic II support.

Wait, full details on 4850? With full details (minus ubersampling) you need a GTX580 / 6970. "High" settings at 1680x1050 is playable on my GTX285, ultra is not (without USAA).
Spoiler

Yeah, you might just buy it on steam. Because you get gog.com version for free if you buy it on steam anyways.

Oops, while editing, I deleted something.
SSAO - Disabled, Ubersampling - Disabled, Blur effects - OFF (i hate those, makes me sick (literally)), AA - disabled (not needed, i never noticed crispy edges), Everything else set on max.
BTW: 30fps is enough to claim game flawless :)

I also disable Motion Blur, makes me sick too. I kinda need games running at 50-60 FPS, because 30 FPS doesn't seem fluid enough for me.
AA and SSAO really taxes on the Red Engine (well SSAO is a dog on all games I've played), but it does add some atmosphere!
I usually run 4x AA for all games, because it removes some minor pixelerations. The game does however look great even on low/medium settings too and is far less demanding.

I'm very surprised is steam gives mac version free and gog.com not.
Gog has had so many campaigns to treat games fair with same prices and same content for all, and since CDProjeckt own gog.com.
Also now you get free gog.com version of games if you own the steam version.
