Hello there.
I'm trying to port a game-- and I think I've got everything working, but then when it the screen turns black and the game starts it just stays there. Pressing command + Enter, I get into windowed mode to see what's happened, but I see a separate window telling me that it needs to have Windows XP Service Pack 3 or higher.

Is there anyway to solve this in Cider?
Or even set a compatibility mode for the game like in Wineskin's wineconfig?

On second thought, if there is anyway to solve this please help.

Go in a wineskin port and change your os to windows 7 and move over the files it changes, should work

Pretty sure that this only changes the configuration for wine to run the game, and not actually alter the game files.

Also- thanks, ryno, heard it from the cider master :)

Of course you can work around it. Just open the config file and replace "winxp" with "winvista".
That might not work with all Ciders, but definitely most of the newer ones.

Argh, man. This absolutely stinks.

Anyway, on the topic of Cider-- is there going to be a ciderconfig like in Wineskin? Hopefully we can change the compatibility and stuff then.
XConfig doesn't do much ATM.

@ryno
It does. I am not sure on which Cider, but do recognize it, I worked around the same error like this on Test Drive Unlimited some time ago.

@SouthTuna
In CiderX 2.0, yes.
