I'm so glad that I found this site! I really didn't want to dual boot Windows to play games, so discovering that a community like this exists is a huge relief. I would like to contribute eventually, but I'm completely new to this. I have programming and web development experience, but I don't know anything about creating wrappers, wine, or cider. Does anyone have any recommendations? Tutorials, reading material, etc.

I might be biased, but you could start with learning Wineskin.  There is a manual on FAQ on the website.  Once you get it down decently you can dig in further to figure out how things actually work.

Always consider the AppDB and Crossover's Compatibility Database before starting to port, it will give you a rough idea of what to expect. Many users are on Linux, so thngs that work for them might not work for you, but you will still often find good tricks to get things running

I'd also recommend starting with Wineskin first, Cider porting is very much trial&error.
Games I own that still need porting:
Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, Descent 3, Fallout, Space Rangers 2

Thanks for all the advice :D I'm trying to run the Fallout 2 wrapper but I'm having problems with the mouse. I think I'll focus on learning to use the program before anything else.

I guess you are using a 1.4 or later version?
If you have mouse issues on them try a "no xi2" engine or try an older engine like the 1.2.x series.

The default engine of the wrapper was 1.2.3. I've tried a few "NoXInput2" engines but I haven't seen any improvement. The game is still playable since it's turn-based, the cursor just lags a bit and flickers.

Edit: I updated the wrapper to 2.5.6 and the cursor seems more responsive.
