So then i turned to google custom search . It works much much better then the inbuilt site search and it even displays a preview or icon of ports in the database .
heres the code
<!-- Put the following javascript before the closing </head> tag. -->
<script>
(function() {
var cx = '016385124988637970925:b7wnxn09gse';
var gcse = document.createElement('script'); gcse.type = 'text/javascript'; gcse.async = true;
gcse.src = (document.location.protocol == 'https:' ? 'https:' : 'http:') +
'//www.google.com/cse/cse.js?cx=' + cx;
var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(gcse, s);
})();
</script>
<!-- Place this tag where you want both of the search box and the search results to render -->
<gcse:search></gcse:search>
I am working on a safari plugin that will make this much more simpler
