What wrapper version are you using, and what engine?

I've been experiencing the same thing here using the latest wrapper.  It takes several minutes to load up the dialog box where you select what to install.  It also takes several minutes once it's finished installing.

Do you have it set to check what downloads are already cached and what dlls are already present? Because that takes a while.

I've tried it with Wineskin 2.5.9 and the new 2.5.10 Beta 4. I've tried it with WS9Wine1.5.26 and WS9Wine1.6-rc1X.

you need to update Winetricks for wine 1.6+

as to speed, it should only be slow on updates, and if you have it set to show you all the info on what is installed and not, because thats just a slow process.

I am also experiencing Winetricks issues. In particular, it thinks some installers have finished when they haven't yet, and somehow any minimised installers disappear entirely and seem to hang :(.

I did update Winetricks, but it also happens now with 1.4.1 engines that used to work fine.

What changed?

Winetricks continues to change and only supports the latest Wine... you may have to stop using 1.4 for the installs.

Hmm. That is unfortunate, as 1.6 isn't quite there yet... I shall make do.

Well, this error seems fixed with Wineskin 2.5.11. I can at least get dotnet2.0 to install without problem and have it move on to something else :).
