First of, let me say that the info in this tutorial is kind of obvious to some of our members. However, many members on the forum (including myself) get numerous PM's like "OMG WHAT DO I DO WITH THE WRAPPER AFTER I DOWNLOADED IT". This tutorial attempts to change that.
First off, a wrapper (in most cases) is NOT the full game.
You have to obtain the game yourself, whether through purchasing it or other means. (SUPPORT THE DEVELOPERS! IF YOU LIKE A GAME, BUY IT!
)
To other members: if you see/read someone asking "why does the game not work after I double-click it" please direct them to the bolded text above.
Alright, now let's get down to business.
First, I'll be covering how to install from a DVD/CD, from a digital .exe, (from places such as GOG.com) and from a pirated copy. (seriously, support the developers if you like it) It'll also cover a game that doesn't need an install executable - it simply runs.
First of all, right click the wrapper. In these screenshots, I'll be using DanIsTheMan's The Walking Dead EP 1 wrapper.

Then, double click Wineskin.app.

After that, click the Install Software button.

Now, at this point, you have two choices (seen below). You can either install the game, or copy a file/folder inside. Only one choice generally works for a game. If you bought the game from a digital distributor, (ex: GOG.com) pirated it, or the .exe contains the words 'Install', 'Setup', or 'Prep', you should select option 1. If there is only one .exe, and nothing else marked 'install' in the folder, you should select option 2. I recommend Copy instead of Move, myself. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS ISN'T ALWAYS THE CASE; THERE ARE RARE EXCEPTIONS.

Let the installer finish; it varies from game to game. Do not attempt to close it out on the screen 'Wineskin is currently busy', it may take a while.
After the installer is finished, if you are using a crack, apply it now. About 65% of the errors with users using a cracked copy are them not applying the crack correctly.
If you're using a pre-configured wrapper, you should be ready to go! However, just to make sure your wrapper will work correctly, click 'Advanced' and we'll go deeper into the Wineskin config app…

See the Windows EXE field? Click Browse.

Select drive_c, followed by Program Files, then whatever the name of your game is. (sometimes it may be the game company's name) Find the correct exe (for example, mine was WalkingDead.exe) click on it, then click 'Choose' at the bottom.
Congratulations! Your wrapper is ready to go!
FAQ section:
Q: My wrapper says this:

What do I do now? IT'S YOUR FAULT! I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME NOW!
A: Calm down, calm down. Did you quit out of the wrapper's installation process because you were tired of waiting, or you didn't see anything when you selected the install .exe, so you quit? There's the problem! Try to install it again, but this time, don't quit.
It could be, however, that your game's installer does not work with Wineskin.
This could be because:
A) The installer doesn't work with Wineskin.
DIAGNOSIS: The game's icon bounces in the dock for a few seconds, then disappears.
FIX: Install the game in Windows and copy the files over.
B ) The Screen Settings are set incorrectly.
DIAGNOSIS: Your whole screen turns black and you don't see anything at all after 5 minutes.
FIX: Ask the wrapper's creator what to do or (NOVICE USERS BEWARE) try to modify the screen settings yourself in the Wineskin app.
C) You have a corrupt .exe or wrapper
DIAGNOSIS: None of the above happens.
FIX: Re-download the .exe and/or wrapper. Alternatively, it could be the wrapper the creator uploaded. Post in the game's port database comments that the installer crashes, and ask if anyone else has this problem. Provide your system specs and what version you're using. See cluthz' tutorial "How to get good help" for more info on this.
Q: I get a black screen when starting the wrapper after installation! WHY DOESN'T IT WORK?!
A: Again, calm down. The Screen Settings are probably incorrectly set.
DIAGNOSIS: Your whole screen turns black (obviously) and you don't see anything at all after 5 minutes.
FIX: Ask the wrapper's creator what to do or (NOVICE USERS BEWARE) try to modify the screen settings yourself in the Wineskin app.
Next, I'll be covering how to use Steam.
First of all, right click the wrapper. In these screenshots, I'll be using DanIsTheMan's The Walking Dead EP 1 wrapper.

Then, double click Wineskin.app.

After this, click Advanced.

Then, click 'Tools' then 'Winetricks'.

Search for Steam, (as seen below) click the one in 'Apps' and then click 'Run'. Let it install, it may take a while. Go back to Wineskin.app, click 'Advanced' again, and change the Windows EXE field to the Steam.exe.

(This, except Steam and not the Walking Dead.)
Sign in with your Steam account, then download the game. (you should already know how to do this)
MAKE SURE YOU GO IN STEAM'S SETTINGS AND CLICK 'DISABLE STEAM COMMUNITY IN-GAME'. Your wrapper will be destroyed if you don't, and you'll have to do this a llllllll over again.
After this, you should be able to play the game! Congrats!
