But like has been mentioned tesselation is a OpenGL 4.x feature. So OS X needs to support that too if you want full DirectX11 plus all of the above needs to support it too.
On the other hand, to be frank even DX9 support isn't done yet. Even later DX9 features could use some OpenGL3.2 or higher support as certain games use shaders not available in the way it's implemented in WINE\Cider currently. This manifests itself in missing effects like the ghosts in Singularity\Alan Wake and maybe even some effects falling back on CPU emulation rather than running in hardware causing things to be slower than they should be. There is however some overlap between those features and DX10. Like those missing effects are due to lack of Shader Model 4.0 (perhaps specifically the Geometry Shader that's new in that model). That's considered a DX10 thing but DX9 games are using it in DX9 mode.

Yep, it's true, there was this setting. I disabled it now. Needless to say that if I catch anyone making fake account to vote on their own stuff, I'll become very mean

EVERYONE....this is not a competition, have some cooth! A little tact. Stop pointing out your own accomplishments here, it's unbecoming and not the character we want to portray to new visitors (potential members) to the site. If this pissing contest continues I'm bringing down the ban hammer or at least a couple jabs of the warning rod.
...and htminc...as a veteran user you should know that three consecutive posts is a no-no....use the frickin' edit button.

As for now, it's impossible to port BF3, because it's only DX10/DX11.
Wine, nor cider, does not have support for full DX10 yet, and therefore not possible.
Same with cider.
i'm sorry, but we must patiently wait for codeweaver or transgaming to make DX10 compatible with wine or cider.
