yeah, if they are a**h***s, just make a download available saying they are a**h***s and will not make a Mac port and actively prevent fan based ports... let Mac users know they hate Mac users and shouldn't be supported.

Same as MapleStory really... total a**h***s who purposefully put in code to detect Wine and prevent it from working.

True.

Im not even gonna bother anymore. I wasted my time on a product whose owner say that only 1/4 of their fan base is mac and they don't care. I try to do something for the sake of having fun and helping people play a game they happen to like, no harm intended towards the creators, and they get all lollypopy.

he can indeed own things he makes available for free... this does not mean you can do anything you want with it, and why things come with license agreements.  Letting people use your software for free doesn't mean you allow them to own your software.  When you get a copy of a program for free, or even purchase it, you are getting the rights to use it, you still do not own it legally.

If you are giving out just a wrapper that can run it with no actual game files, he cannot say poop to you.  If you are using anything that he owns, you must use it the way he allows you to use it.

So if its a wrapper with their icon and name thats OK?

I'll publish a wrapper only, instead of deleting the whole thing.

EDIT. They don't want that either. They don't want any Mac port unless native (and they arent planning on it).

Ok. I'll take it from you then. I guess ill pull the port. I don't understand why they dont want to. I did the same for the MapleStory private server and the owner thanked me and included a link. Totally not cool for Mac owners. :(
