#89210 PS4 was in development starting 2010?

I would stop using my console entirely if game developers can figure a way to get local multiplayer (split-screen) working on pc gaming . like you would be able to plug in two controllers and play local multiplayer on a big tv .

Also some people argue that gaming on Pc is expensive but if you are ready to give up intel and Nvidia for cost . one could build / buy a decent gaming computer at around $530  , which is the average cost of a console when it comes out on the market .

they've pledged to support the PS3 until 2015.
Hasn't the ps3 been around long enough already ? THE Ps3 and Xbox 360 are holding the gaming industry behind .

Here how I see it..When the playstation 4 is released..Soon they would make a ps5 then ps6 and ps7..Then you would think(OMG which console should I get..Naa I'll wait until the new one to come out) ps8 ps9 psX....I rather stick with a mac and a pc. Don't have to wait couple more years for a new releases on the hardware.
Or we could just wait till internet in the world gets faster (atleast 30mbs/s average) and cheaper . Then we can all switch to cloud gaming :P
If that ever happens , users will never have to upgrade hardware :D
