squall5017: Your account has been validated.

Baskman: If you still have the email message, can you try entering your validation code on this page?
(also, if you still have the email message, can you please forward it to syao@portingteam.com so I can examine it? I thought I had fixed the issue, but it appears that some people are still affected)

https links should be allowed now.

The problem was a timeout caused by our server trying to connect to the inserted address to grab the remote filesize, and failing, because the IPB developers were funny enough to always make it connect to the HTTP port rather than the HTTPS one.

The filesize probe is now disabled, since it obviously never really worked right, because the links we're using aren't direct links to the files, but rather, to a download page.

As a side-effect of this, the occasional - but rare - timeouts on regular HTTP links we had every now and then are solved as well.

Looks like some VRAM corruption or something like that (could be caused by some hardware failure or a troublesome driver).  I'm guessing everything looks fine until the system is fully loaded? Or you're getting them during system boot as well?

If you haven't yet, I'd start with the basic troubleshooting stuff.  Zap your PRAM and do a Safe Boot.  A SMC reset shouldn't be necessary, but it won't hurt.

Note 1: In (the unlikely) case you're using a Mac Pro with a RAID array, you might need to hold down Option on the first boot subsequent to the PRAM reset.
Note 2: After completing the Safe Boot, make sure you reboot normally, since in Safe Mode the system will be considerably slow and/or limited
Note 3: Safe Boot won't work if you have a firmware password set.  You have to unset the firmware password first.

After doing these steps, I'd recommend you to run a the AHT for your computer, in case it's a defective RAM module.  The quick test might not identify it, you should also run the full test (it may take several hours, so you might want to let it run overnight)

I tested the game you sent me (as well as a bunch of other games I had on my hard disk), and it seems like the the textspeed options is failing consistently.  It looks just like it's being ignored for some reason.
I did a quick (very quick) check through the scummvm sources, and the option exists and it should be working without problems, I can't figure out why it's ignoring it here.
I'll be doing some more research later on (tight time constraint right now), hopefully I'll find out the reason.

If I can figure it out, sure, I can put it in another slider, just like the music/sfx/speech volume ones.
