Kingpin: Life of Crime is a first-person shooter developed by Xatrix Entertainment and published by Interplay Entertainment in June 1999. The game begins with the player character wounded and beaten up by the Kingpin's henchmen, and the story follows his thirst for revenge. Released shortly after the Columbine High School massacre, the game attracted controversy which led it to be dropped from various retailers. Still, the game managed moderate critical acclaim.
Set in a quasi-retro time period, Kingpin features a mix of 1930s art deco crossed with modern technology and ideas. Many inventions are conveyed through an art deco style design, like helicopters and monorail networks. The setting is described by the game manual as a "past that never happened".

This is a CXSkin wrapper so it should work flawlessly on any Intel Mac with OSX 10.4-10.6

Please note that this wrapper will work best with the gamefiles from the old Chromium port which can be found in the full games section of the forum.

To install the gamesfiles, right-click on the application package and select "Show Package Contents" from the menu.
Then follow the red-marked folders until you see the gamefolder - place the PC gamefiles inside this folder and you are good to go.

Notes:
A widescreen hack has been applied - 1280x800 is supported (it's listed as 640x480 in the video settings menu.)

Known Issues:
None as of yet - enjoy!

Requirements:
Mac OS version: OS X 10.4.11
Min. Processor: Intel Core Duo
Min RAM: 512 MB
Video RAM: 64 MB
Harddisk space: 750 MB

Please note that this game has not been tested on Macs with GMA 950 chips, but it is likely to work.

Enjoy!

I'm new to the forums and also to the whole porting thing but I'm excited about its potential. You explain that the wrapper will work best with the gamefiles from the old Chromium port which can be found in the full games section of the forum... but where is that section? I plan on purchasing the retail box version of Kingpin: Life of Crime as soon as I can track one down. It's listed as Windows 7 compatible with some tweaking but it would be awesome to play it natively under OS X. Is there a significant difference in frames per second and overall performance?
Thanks a lot doctor45 you rocks ! :)
