Game Description:
The Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood is the second retail expansion pack for the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar and was released on December 1, 2009 in North America and December 3, 2009 in Europe. Unlike the first expansion this edition was only available via a web based download.
The expansion added the southern region of Mirkwood. The game's level cap has been increased to level 65, and the expansion included the conclusion to Volume II of the epic storyline. It also introduced a new "skirmish" system that allows for repeatable, randomised and scalable combat based instances that can be accessed from anywhere in the game world for 1, 3, 6 and 12 players and new 3, 6 and 12 player private instances that take place in Dol Guldur proper.

Tested with: German Full Game Client "Der Herr der Ringe Online: Die Belagerung des Düsterwalds"

dont you get banned because you play it on an other platform then Windows?
(i'm new to this so this could be a stupid question)
But the game appears to run in windows, as wine simulates some kind of windows.
So even if that is a reason to ban people from the game, they cannot check it.
okay thanks,
I tried to download it,
but i miss a file, file: lotrosetup-1c
and it took 24 hours (i got a bad internet) to download
so if some of you guys can put it in a download.
i would appreciate that.
Edit:
I downloaded it again
but it didn't work again
with the Lotrosetup-1c.bin...
it sais CRC failed.
and then the file vanishes.....

can plz somebody help me?

Got the same problem. And I hoped I will play it tonight..
Ok so I found separate .bin files on the net, containing both lotrosetup 1c and 1g, which I needed. Then I had one more error - [E07] ; incorrect user data (login and pass). I fixed it with creating an account on lotro-europe website instead of the american one. (guess the client decides it all). Now I have one more error : [E201], something about not being able to access data/files. Looked over the internet, but there are only explanations for windows users (disabling firewall, administrator privilleges etc.) Does anyone have the same 201 problem? how is that fixed?

thank you in advance.

p.s. I must note, my installation process didn't go perfectly well, got an error somewhere in the middle, pressed 'ignore'.
I've got the same problem as fingalick :(. It says error 201, and some of the files is locked :(, what to do??
When I try to launch it I get the following error:

"Game Error (205): The game client was passed invalid commandline parameters. (205)"
Sorry I don't have this problem now, but when it patches it does some files then fails and you need to start the patch again so it does some more.
Is there a way around this, is anyone else having this happen?
Once done everything correctly, works like a charm. (Macbook Pro 13" 2010 mid-summer edition) Have no lags and a free game to play :)
Thanks for the guide.
I Have The same exact problem as fingalick and riber71 :(
For those with missing bin's when downloading the game, try using the installer via vmware or parralels or whatever. It worked for me.

Great game, crashes sometimes while loading and the setting don't get saved if you change them, but otherwise great game :)
Hello!

Could you just upload the enginge. I mean only the .app without the lotro installed to the C drive?
I have a lotro installed from windows and it's up-to-date and sits on my OSX's Desktop. So then I just have to move it into the .app you made and works well :)

My internet is so slow and I don't like to download 10GBs

Thank you so much

Hi all,
i fixed the saving problem.
U have to open the package (Lotro)

Contents - Resources - drive_c - users - crossover

Delete here the My Documents Ink and create a new folder named My Documents.
In these folder u have to create a new folder named The Lord of the Rings Online.
And in these folder u have to create a file named UserPreferences.ini

Open UserPreferences.ini with TextEdit and insert these and change ur resolution (Lotro saves u grafik changes direct in these file):

Hi...

I'm kind of confused as to how to download this and get it working?

Do I need parallels or can it be done natively using a wrapper?  Also, what exactly do I download?  It's not very clear to me.

Basically: Could someone give me a step by step for dummies? :P

Oh, one more thing, I want to play this with my friends on an American server even though I'm from England.  Is that possible and how do I go about that?

Thanks.
