Game Description:
The Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood is the second retail expansion pack for the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar and was released on December 1, 2009 in North America and December 3, 2009 in Europe. Unlike the first expansion this edition was only available via a web based download.
The expansion added the southern region of Mirkwood. The game's level cap has been increased to level 65, and the expansion included the conclusion to Volume II of the epic storyline. It also introduced a new "skirmish" system that allows for repeatable, randomised and scalable combat based instances that can be accessed from anywhere in the game world for 1, 3, 6 and 12 players and new 3, 6 and 12 player private instances that take place in Dol Guldur proper.

Tested with: German Full Game Client "Der Herr der Ringe Online: Die Belagerung des Düsterwalds"

what problem are you actually having?  the download and directions are all in the first post in this thread.
They're unclear.   The instructions say:

4. Installation:
- Install Full Client using Wineskin-Installer to: "C:\LotRO" and select Windows EXE: "C:\PyLotRO\PyLotRO.exe"

I downloaded the wineskin installer, it's an exe file, I opened it up in wine and I got a weird white status box come up that didn't do anything.  I'm sure there's more to installing it than one instruction.  I need something more specific, I'm quite new to the whole porting thing. :s

I haven't found an application icon that I usually have when using ported games.  Just a bunch of .exe files, a .dll and a load of .bin files.

Wineskin Installer means... Look inside of the wrapper for WineskinSettings.app and run it then press the Install Windows Software button, and select the exe to install the game with that was downloaded from wherever....  To see inside of a wrapper, you right click on it and select "Show Package Contents" and it will open a new Finder window showing everything inside of it.

Basically download the full installer client for Windows from the link in the first post.. so you have the actual game ready to install.
Then, use the Installer in Wineskin to install it into the wrapper to the said location.  Then put the downloaded patchfile2.dll file in the first post into the new LotRO folder you installed to inside the wrapper.

This is an older Wineskin port.. but it still holds that Wineskin is a total package... it doesn't need X11 or Wine or anything else, it takes care of itself.  In Wineskin 2.0+ WineskinSettings.app was renamed Wineskin.app but is basically still the same concept.
Ugh, nevermind, I'm an idiot.  I didn't unzip the package. -.o;

Okay, it's all put in now, but when I try to connect it tells me I don't have the correct client version or something like that.  How can I update it?
When I launch the program, the Realm and Language drop-downs are blank and it also says no language files were found!

Can some please tell me whats going wrong?
So I'm new to this whole thing. I downloaded Wineskin and I made a wrapper. I am currently downloading the EN version from the link at the top. Am I doing this right? What will be my next step?
Ok, I think I've got somekind of a problem here...
I've downloaded the wrapper, the gameclient, installed it, selected the exe to start  and changed the options in the launcher to this other .dll and patched the game...
The Problem is, on Realm, I can only select "DummyWorld" (guess thats not right at all) and am also unable to login...
Any Ideas whats causing this problem?
Thanks for the guide .. it worked very well ..
hey, thanks for the port!
i can log into the game, but then this comes up with this:

connection failed: you do not have the current version of the client installed

probably nothing to do with the wrapper, but does anyone know what i should do?

from the PyLotRO launcher you need to manually patch the game (its in the menu of the launcher).. unfortunately this launcher doesn't auto patch.
Does this wrapper still work since the accounts migrated over from Codemasters to Turbine?
As it just sticks saying ‘checking account details’.
I do want to play this but the installation is really weird also please try to port vindictus if you can that is one worth porting
having issues with mice and video. Sometimes screen just changing size to 50px x 50px, and cant do any, except force quit and then launch again. Mice curso sometimes just dissapearing, and you have to right click, for cursor become visible
Does this one still work? Just downloaded it and put my Windows-Files (German) into the Lotro-Folder. But after login it stops with "***Finished***" in a window called "Output".
