Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Soulstorm is the 3rd expansion to the PC-based RTS game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War series developed by Iron Lore Entertainment. Like its predecessors, Soulstorm is based on Games Workshop's popular tabletop wargame, Warhammer 40,000, and introduces a multitude of new features to the Dawn of Warseries. It can be used in a stand alone and so does not need the original Dawn of war disc to play, but you must have the prior games installed and valid cd-keys in order to play as anything but the two new races online.

Personal Notes:

After many tries I finally get it to work perfectly. The sound works and the graphics as well. I tested all singelplayer stuff. The Multiplayer is not tested.

I used Cider Build 6357, but in the build the sound was broken. I used the libdsound.dylib and the libdswave.dylib from Cider 1310 (thx Drakulix) and the sound worked beautifully.

IMPORTENT: This wrapper works only with Version 1.0 of the game. So pls don't patch.

My Specs:

OS: Mac OS X 10.7.2
CPU: 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5
Ram: 4 GB
Video: AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB
Port Disk Space: 5,63 GB

Known Issues:

None

Installation Instructions:

Install the game using Parallels, wine,Bootcamp or what else. -> use a no CD crack with "Soulstorm.exe" -> right click at Dawn of War - Soulstorm.app and click show Package -> Now follow the green Path -> Put your "Dawn of War - Soulstorm" Folder into "THQ". That should be all.

If there are any Problems, feel free to send me an PM or ask in this topic.

Have fun playing this awesome strategy game.

Does campaign work? I tried porting this myself and everything worked except for the campaign
what do u understand for campaign? I tested all modis aviable in Soulstorm and everything worked. Only multiplayer wasn't tested. So, yeah the Campaign works :)
Thanks for your work on this. :)
When I downloaded the wrapper and right clicked the app to show package contents there was no green path. So where should I put my no cd cracked Soulstorm files?
Cheers
okay, here's the path.

Conten -> Resources -> transgaming -> c_drive -> Program files(put the thq folder here)

Would be happy if you could give me some stars :)
Thanks for the help. Ok, now after putting the files in the right spot, I go to open the app and this pops up.

"Exception Raised
Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000000a at address 0x70085251.
Do you want to debug it?"

And then there are two buttons, I guess they are meant to say Yes and No but they aren't in English. I took a screen shot of the error but don't know how to upload to this message. Thanks for your help.
please upload the message at imageshack.us for example and post the link here. never had this bug before.

And also tell me your path to the game exe file (your cracked one). maybe there is a problem with the folder or data names.
My image path is: Dawn of War - Soulstorm -> Show Package Contents -> Contents -> Resources -> transgaming -> c_drive -> Program Files -> THQ (I put my THQ file from windows here because it was empty otherwise) -> Dawn of War - Soulstorm folder with the cd crack.

First make sure, that the exe in the Dawn of War- Soulstorm folder is named Soulstorm.exe
if that's the way I need the crash logs.
YOu could get them if u go to contents, and the Mac OS. Double click "Cider" And after u run the game and it crashd simply post the output of the console here.
Firstly, I should have mentioned this before, I'm running Lion 10.7.3.
The .exe is named correctly.

Is this what your after?

Well, it don't look like the right log o.O

Normally the log should look more like:

Did u really double clicked the Cider file under contend -> Mac Os?

If u did it normally should püost at least this: M*******-iMac:~ m*******$ /Users/m*********/Spiele/Dawn\ of\ War\ -\ Soulstorm.app/Contents/MacOS/cider ; exit; (important part, this must show up at the beginning otherwise u opened the wrong file i believe)

Make sure u right clicked on the dawn of war - soulstotm.app (show package content) and then moved to content -> Mac OS and opened "Cider"
I will try it again. Ok, so when I double click on the cider, it opens terminal and two copies of Dawn of War - Soulstorm app open, and that buggy error box pops up. The stuff I just posted is whats in terminal when I open it, and nothing changes with the terminal app when the two apps open.

Should I be opening the cider with a different application?
Sorry mate, I just realised  there have been 3 terminal windows when I double cider, but they were hiding behind each other.

And the third terminal window has the info I posted just before...
well, this is actually strange, because the terminal don't even mention that u opened the Cider file o.O

and there shouldn't two dawn of war soul storm files open o_O actually I have no idea what's the problem in the moment.

Which version do u used for installing? a bought one? or one of the internet?
oh, didn't read ur second post. Wait a sec
Ok, I reader through ur log.
It looks almost the same like mine, except that line: "wine: Unhandled exception, starting debugger..."
I have actually no idea why it didn't work. It could only have something to do with the crack or the version of the game u used. There could often be problems with different cracks, so if u have a option to find another crack for the game u should use it. Look for example at gamecopyworld
If u tried different cracks and it don't work i could send u my crack, maybe than it will work.
