Battlefield Vietnam is the second video game in Electronic Arts' Battlefield franchise after Battlefield 1942. The game was developed by the Swedish company Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts on March 15, 2004 in North America and days later in other parts of the world. Battlefield Vietnam takes place during the Vietnam War. It is first-person shooter (FPS) games and features a large variety of maps based on historical settings, such as the Ho Chi Minh Trail, Battle of Hue, Ia Drang Valley, Operation Flaming Dart, The Battle of Khe Sanh and Fall of Saigon. Many parts of the game have been influenced by popular Vietnam War movies. Examples are the player's ability to play Ride of the Valkyries on the radio and the tiger striped M79 from Apocalypse Now.
On March 15, 2005, EA re-released the game as Battlefield Vietnam: Redux (as a reference to Apocalypse Now: Redux), which includes the 1.01, 1.02, 1.1, 1.2 , and 1.21 patches, new vehicles, maps, and an EA-produced World War II mod, based on the previous

Why Intel GMA RED? Did you tested it? I thought It can run because it require 64 MB VRAM or higher. I have Intel GMA X3100 144MB VRAM.

Maybe I can test it for you. (I think I ask someone who have Battlefield Vietnam.)

I thought it was battlefield bad company vietnam 2......
When I run this, I just get the launcher with a 'quit' button. No other option. Is it possible to disable the launcher and execute the game directly?
It works well on the HD3000 with 384MB vram. :)
Thank you so much.

Nah man, i think Battlefield 1942 was the first game they made, then this, then like 3 or so others un till Bad Company2 and the vietnam add on was introduced. This is a more classic BF game :)
Runs great with just one exception, I have no crosshair for rifles or lines in the sniper scope, i'ts been a while since i played this game but i do remember having one :).
Wierd thing is when i pull out a grenade(launcher) or knife i have one.

A quick google search gave me multiple people on windows vista experiencing the same issue, the solution is to update graphics drivers, but i don't think that is an option in a port?

I'm running a 2009 imac with ati 4850. bfv 1.21 (lost installer so only have the install directory from bootcamp install)
my os : Mac 10.8.2 lion mountain
and this wrapper not working!!
please help...
