Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is a stealth-based real-time tactics computer game, developed by Spellbound and released in 2001. In the game, the player controls up to six characters in a wild west setting. The protagonist is a wordly knife fighter and gunslinger, John Cooper. He takes on a bounty to capture a notorious train robber named "El Diablo". As Cooper sets off on his quest, he is aided by five other friends and they work together in a real-time, stealth based structure very similar to that introduced in Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, although an all-out gunfight is still highly possible in the game. A sequel called Desperados 2: Cooper's Revenge was released in late March 2006. A second sequel,Helldorado, (announced as expansion pack Desperados 2: Conspiracy but made into a full game) was released in mid 2007 in Germany. The English version was released in some regions in November 2007.

Personal Notes:
Well, this is my wine port (WIP) of Desperados. Maybe somebody could fix the stuff I couldn't.
Read at Known issues for all problems in the port.

My System Specs:
- OS:                    Mac OSX 10.7.3
- CPU:                 3,1 GHz Intel Core i5
- RAM:                4GB
- Video:               AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB
- Disk Space:      700MB

Known Issues:
The biggest problem is the GUI problem. It's not completely visible :/ It's a known wine bug, so I couldn't find a solution to fix this.
Because of the GUI Bug, the minimal is not completely visible and the whole user interface is not visible.

install the game via parallels, crossover, wine or whatever. Use an no CD crack if you find one. For my version I need to mount the Iso. Couldn't find another solution yet. Right click on the desperadoes.app and click on show package. navigate to drive c-> program files and Put the Desperados file folder there.
Double click the .app file and have fun

I also found the wine topic, where it's a live bug. They are talking about the 1.0 version, where everything is working fine. Anyone have that?

Any chance for the Desperados 2? I installed the paulthetall port, but it can't save. I made a port, but the mouse just don't move.
is sayd install windows software .

where is it ? where i can find it ????
I can't get this to work, I have followed all the install instructions using wineskin but it still doesn't open.
"Right click on the desperadoes.app and click on show package. navigate to drive c-> program files and Put the Desperados file folder there." What do you mean by 'put the Desperados file folder there'? There isn't a file folder called Desperados?!
Made a port that works with yosemite!
