Spec Ops: The Line is a new original title from 2K Games that features provocative and gripping Third-Person modern military Shooter gameplay designed to challenge players' morality by putting them in the middle of unspeakable situations where unimaginable choices affecting human life must be made. Features include, a gripping, storyline reminiscent of Apocalypse Now and Heart of Darkness but set in a ruined Dubai, tactical squad-based Delta Force gameplay throughout a horizontally and vertically oriented world, devastating sandstorms which can be used in combat, a variety of multiplayer modes and maps, and deep support featuring two factions.

Today, the city lies buried under sand, the world’s most opulent ruin. Now, a mysterious radio signal is picked-up from Dubai, and a Delta Recon Team is sent to infiltrate the city. Their mission is simple: Locate survivors and radio for Evac. What they find is a city in the grip of war. To save Dubai, they’ll have to find the man at the heart of its madness—Col. John Konrad.

Gameplay
Spec Ops: The Line is an action-packed Third-Person Shooter that delivers heart pounding physically close combat through a squad-based play mechanic. Players lead a team of three characters, Captain Martin Walker, Lieutenant Adams and Sergeant Lugo. Each character has his own distinct personality and specialized skills, and the mature story they each play a role in explores the dark side of war in a realistic way, in which there are no good outcomes, only hard choices. As missions are completed more advanced weapons and equipment are made available. In addition, the desert environment of Dubai is brought into the game in a unique way with stunning visuals, and dynamic sandstorms that actively effect level designs, and which can be used to help and hinder progress. The vertical interiors of Dubai high rise buildings also provide tactical advantages and risks that can used be by players. Multiplayer campaigns bring new modes and unusual situations and environments to expand the single player experience.

Personal Notes:
Two days before the official release, I give you... Spec Ops: The Line
Fully playable, great looking graphics even at very low settings! My relatively old card could go all the way to... Low. But that's still too much, if you actually see how it looks! I wonder what it looks like in very high!

Merged with blinxfrost's.
If you have trouble with one wrapper, try with the other one. Please state which wrapper you're using before asking for help.
I can't turn my mouse 360 degrees. when I want to turn it turns really fast.
anyone else having difficulty extracting blinx's wrapper? tried several apps including the command line "unzip" and only one app works - the unarchiver. even so, after it gets extracted, it looks like it's corrupt, as there's no resource folder or anything aside from a text file and the wineskin app.
i found the correct folder through terminal and copied the install directory to it, but even then when i run the game, the icon just bounces for a long time and just disappears afterwards. wineskin does the same as well. anything i'm missing or doing wrong? thx

btw, thanoulas's wrapper is very very slow on my 2011 mbpro AMD Radeon HD 6490M 256 MB - around 3-4 fps - and the mouse skips, so it's unplayable for me on that wrapper.
same problem with blinxs wrapper can't extract it
and thanoulas's wrapper is to slow to play
on my imac 2010 / ati radeon 4850 512mb
thx
You won't see any difference with the other wrapper, it's a wine bug with ATi cards. If you try running the game with the ATi disabled it might run better, that's the only workaround for now. Get gfxcardstatus app and switch to "Integrated Only"
thanks thanoulas for the info. but the game crashes anyway after the mission actually starts - in desert overlooking dubai. not sure why. maybe the gfx workaround hopefully helps.

edit: game runs MUCH better on the integrated card - wouldn't complain. but it still crashes. something about AIFeedback or something. could be ,y game since it's the smaller rip version and not the full version.

thanks for the tip. any chance wine has or will provide a fix for us ATI'ers? also any fix for the mouse looping across the screen edges?
i fixed the wrapper :)

It could be the version you're using, try a proper release and not the repack. It could also still be the card, the Intel might not have enough juice to pull this off without issues. Please upload the LastRunWine.log file on pastebin so I can take a look.
I still have a issue Whit the mouse. Can't turn normally 360 degrees. Is there a way to solve this problem?

If you don't give us more details, we won't be able to help.
the full game runs fine with no crashes. it's just that mouse keeps looping across screens. sort of how like packman move offscreen to the left to reappear from the right. this causes the camera to skip and pop without warning. i remember reading about a solution ages ago for some ported game on my linux and early mackintosh days, but i jut can't seem to find the solution anymore. maybe i'm not looking had enough.

edit: fixed one mouse issue but broke another. from Wineskin->Advanced->Tools->Registry Editor, "Find" "MouseWarpOverride", the default value is "enabled". i had to change that to "force". this is a well known X11 bug and wine still suffers from it, from what i read. this option fixed my mouse wrapping around, but rendered my mouse pointer stuck in the middle of the screen motionless. i'm sure there must be a full fix somewhere there or a wine-recompile parameter/option, but i'm too lazy and this works ok for me. so if you wanted to change any options or remap controls, do so before you change the value of MouseWarpOverride to force. or keep switching the value every time you need mouse-menu interaction. shame for the ATI bug though, the game does stutter at times and it's taking away some of the fun.
I can't install the game with the iso, texture.tfc error... But, good job ;)
for thanoulas' wrapper i get a fatal error saying that it cant find the main exe from the win32 folder. so i selected the launcher and it asked me what language i wanted and i clicked english and still i get the fatal error thing. i googled it and it said a lot of stuff about physx? maybe i should install it again? im gonna try please help me asap

edit: i got it thanx but the mouse on the y scale gets trapped and doesnt loop like the x mouse
when i try to install the game trough wineskin, it does nothing...

btw, i use the wrapper from mediafire
oh wait, nevermind...
