Borderlands is a first-person shooter that includes character-building elements found in role playing games, leading to Gearbox calling the game a "role-playing shooter". At the start of the game, players select one of four characters, each with a unique special skill and with proficiencies with certain weapons. The four characters are: Soldier, Hunter, Siren, and Beserker.[4] From then on, players take on quests assigned through non-player characters or from bounty boards, each typically rewarding the player with experience points and a reward item.[4] Players also earn experience by killing foes and completing in-game challenges (such as getting a certain number of kills using a specific type of weapon). As they gain levels from experience growth, players can then allocate skill points into a skill tree that features three distinct specializations of the base character; for example, a Hunter can become specialized in sniping, melee combat, or scavenging. Players can distribute points among any of the specializations, and can also spend a small amount of in-game money to redistribute their skill points.

Personal Notes:
- This wrapper has been tested with Borderlands Retail AND Borderlands-RELOADED versions. The Steam and other - cracked versions have not been tested... AS OF YET.
- I have tested it with DLC's, if you want to install DLC's comment saying what DLC it is and I'll try to get back to you.

My System Specs:
- OS:  Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8
- CPU:  Core 2 Duo 2GHz
- RAM:  4GB
- Video:  NVIDIA GeForce 320M
- Disk Space:  7.56GB After Game installation

Known Issues:
- Sometimes it may randomly freeze when starting new game or loading save.
- May lag after opening the game for a bit, it usually goes to normal speed after a short time.

Installation:
Note: This is for the RELOADED version of the game.
Install using devilhunter's installation tool, found here: http://portingteam.c...e/27-installer/
(When installing DO NOT change the directory of where it is installing)
The files will be on your desktop...Posted Image

After dragging both those folders to your desktop (Gearbox Software and AGEIA Technologies),
Copy them into the wrappers package contents under Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/

All the people that get this game, please remember, there is a native mac port for this, so BUY IT, it helps the makers.

Thats it... Happy Gaming and don't forget to give feedback and Don't be afraid to ask ANYTHING, also don't be afraid to request a port :D

Why? There is already a native port in the Mac App Store
Yeh, I got asked by a few ppl to upload a port, so uh, here it is... also the native port is not on steam, and I've bought it on steam so, this works and thats a legit reason why this port can exist.
Why are there 2 cider versions...?
According to the title it is a "cider wrapper redone".  I don't know how exactly tho....

mac app store version is good, its just that it also runs good in cider and wine
Yeh, I've made it compatible with the RELOADED version + DLC's, its also been reconfigured a bit, but its pretty much the same as the old one.
btw, anyone got any feedback on this port yet?
Im new here so, how do I use the installer. Do I use it on the Borderlands icon once I open the .zip or do I do something else
Experiencing  a lot of trouble, I can't find good torrents, I know that you have to download the reloaded or retail versions, do you have links to some fast downloading cracks?
it does not have to be the reloaded one i worked with the korean uninstalled torrent and it worked fine
just remember to rename the borderland file to Gearbox software and then make a file named boderlands in it with all the game files
you do not need the ageia technology file or the 2k games file
I bought Borderlands from GamesRocket and installed it and the wrapper.

However, when I click on the app, I get the error:

Quote

Exception raised

Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000008 at address 0x7001995c.
Do you wish to debug it ?

Clicking either yes or no both result in the program closing. Is there anything else I can do to get it to work?
how do I get it to launch the right exe?
It just jumps on the dock forever. I have done everything the same. Help please, thanks.
Hey dude, can i ask you port for the EA's game "black", i'd really appreciate that man :D
And that's a very good Borderlands port by the way :D
