Dishonored is an immersive first-person action game that casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. With Dishonored’s flexible combat system, creatively eliminate your targets as you combine the supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets at your disposal. Pursue your enemies under the cover of darkness or ruthlessly attack them head on with weapons drawn. The outcome of each mission plays out based on the choices you make.

Story:
Dishonored is set in Dunwall, an industrial whaling city where strange steampunk- inspired technology and otherworldly forces coexist in the shadows. You are the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress. Framed for her murder, you become an infamous assassin, known only by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card. In a time of uncertainty, when the city is besieged by plague and ruled by a corrupt government armed with industrial technologies, dark forces conspire to bestow upon you abilities beyond those of any common man – but at what cost? The truth behind your betrayal is as murky as the waters surrounding the city, and the life you once had is gone forever.

Key features:
  • Improvise and Innovate
Approach each assassination with your own style of play. Use shadow and sound to your advantage to make your way silently through levels unseen by foes, or attack enemies head-on as they respond to your aggression. The flexible combat system allows you to creatively combine your abilities, supernatural powers and gadgets as you make your way through the levels and dispatch your targets. Improvise and innovate to define your play style.
  • Action with Meaning
The world of Dishonored reacts to how you play. Move like a ghost and resist corruption, or show no mercy and leave a path of destruction in your wake. Decide your approach for each mission, and the outcomes will change as a result.
  • Supernatural Abilities
Teleport for stealth approaches, possess any living creature, or stop time itself to orchestrate unearthly executions! Combining your suite of supernatural abilities and weapons opens up even more ways to overcome obstacles and eliminate targets. The game’s upgrade system allows for the mastery of deadly new abilities and devious gadgets.
  • A City Unlike Any Other
Enter an original world envisioned by Half-Life 2 art director Viktor Antonov. Arkane and Bethesda bring you a steampunk city where industry and the supernatural collide, creating an atmosphere thick with intrigue. The world is yours to discover.
Personal Notes:
This is a port that I did after many requests and after agreeing to it with hmtinc, as he was the first to port this game, but his port has compatibility issues with ATi cards. So I did this port which has some fixes for ATi cards, and makes it a little more compatible, also no xQuartz installation is needed, as it works fine with the built in xquartz.
If you're on an ATi and you're getting graphical glitches, try lowering your graphics settings and particularly disabling dynamic shadows, blur and bloom effects.
For both nVidia users and ATi, follow this guide to optimize your frame rate
http://segmentnext.c...nd-performance/
Thanks KGameLover1 for the ATi test and the link

My System Specs:
- OS: OS X 10.8.2
- CPU: Core i5 2.53GHz
- RAM: 8 GB
- Video: nVidia GT330M 256MB
- Disk Space: 8.5GB

Known Issues:
At the beginning, when chasing the little girl, you'll reach an area where everything is pitch black. You can either guess the way there (there are no hazards), say no to the little girl when she asks you to follow her, or disable the tutorial before you start the game.

Installation:
1. Extract the wrapper archive (double click on the .7z file)
2. Hold Fn + double click on the wrapper.
3. Click "Install Windows Software"
4. Browse to your "setup.exe" or similar
5. Complete the installation, If you get any, SKIP THE DirectX, VCRuntime or .NET Installation Prompts at the End (Select "Cancel")
i) If you don't have an option, and you are sure that the game installed DirectX, let the installation finish, and redownload the wrapper, and paste the
game folder from Program Files in the fresh wrapper.
6. When done, you will get a prompt to choose the executable. Choose "Dishonored.exe"
7. Close all windows.
8. Replace the executable with a cracked one in the wrapper. All cracks seem to be working, but I've found the Dishonored.Fix-RELOADED
to be the most stable one.
The Black Box edition also installs and works fine.
To install the crack:
i ) Right click on the wrapper, choose "Show Package Contents"
   ii ) Go to: drive_c/Program Files/Dishonored/Binaries/Win32
iii ) Replace the old Dishonored.exe (and any other files provided with the crack) with the cracked ones (Sorry, copy protection doesn't work.)
iv ) If you got the game pre-cracked, it's obvious that you can skip this step.
10. Close all windows and play!

ATI USERS:
There is now a new wrapper specifically for ATi / AMD users to try out. It reportedly fixes the glitches while having a decent speed. This engine comes with some special settings you can change if you want to experiment with the performace. Open Wineskin, Go to advanced and run "Registry Editor".
From there, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D
And change the value of VertexShaderConstants
I'd suggest values between 450 - 1000, but of course feel free to experiment.
The lower you go, the faster the framerate, but you'll get more graphical glitches
The higher you go, the less glitches, but slower framerate.

* An ATi HD6750 User reported, after many tests, that the best value for his system was around 270-279 for this game, so try this as well.
A big thanks to all the testers:
- Dylanlini
- wallspaper
- bood3e
- If I'm forgetting someone let me know!

USERS ON pre-5xxx ATi's (Radeon HD 2600/4670/4850/4870):
It seems that these cards only support 512-1024 Uniform Components, which are not enough to run this game on Mac OS X. You can experiment with values around 240 - 256, but there is no guarantee that the game will work.

Thanks for downloading!

Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB user. Hi, i've downloaded the game w/ DLC and it installs fine. However, when i run game it says VRam full. Any way to optimise my iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), Graphics 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3? I installed the GOTY edition BTW.

Thanks!
Yes, I'm experiencing the same thing as the previous few recent users.  Macbook Pro with Intel Iris.  The ATI wrapper works for me first time, but then gives me a D3D Out of Memory error every time I try to play after that first quit.  How are we still playing this on the newer machines?
okay i seem to have gotten this playable on my macbook 5,1.  I think the remaining lag is down to hardware as I have 256mb of vram and the game "recommends" 512mb.  Im not sure why this is in the graveyard but im considering contacting the uploader and asking permission to repost it with a few tweaks.

This port performs the same as mine on Nvidia cards . why do people hate my port :(
anyway , my port never actually required xquartz , that was just a option just incase wineskinx11 failed to launch , and i never provided AMD/ATI support cause people told me that the game lags a lot even on high end AMD cards with wine .

Heres performance comparison review with the  Pc version
Graphics : Same
Speed : 10 - 15 % slower
Gameplay mechanics : 99% same

5/5 stars

where is your port?
Why is this port dead? I downloaded the wrapper a few years back and I remember it worked perfectly on a MacBook Air with Mavericks. I recently tried to update the wrapper with a Skidrow Game of the year edition (with all the DLCs) but now I can't get it to work, not even on one of two different computers:

— MacBook Air / Yosemite 10.10.5 / Intel HD Graphics 5000 — very laggy, freezes and crashes even at lower settings. I tried changing the screen settings in wine, but I can never get it to go fullscreen, it's always smaller with a black border. (No distinctive graphic glitches as described below, it's just extremely laggy and unstable. I don't get what happened since the original game worked flawlessly on this computer.)

— iMac / Snow Leopard 10.6.8 / ATI Radeon HD 4670 — no lag problem, screen settings ok, but I'm experiencing the nasty graphical glitches others have described (floating model holograms, screen goes dark etc) which make the game completely unplayable.

TLDR = it's either ok graphics-wise (no glitches) but extremely laggy, or no lag but with gamebreaking graphic glitches. I just can't get both to work. :'(

I see everybody keeps mentioning editing the 'VertexShaderConstants'. Now I don't know if it's because I used the GOTY version, but I don't have that option! When I go into Registry Editor > hkey_current_user > software > wine there is no Direct3D folder! The only ones there are 'FileOpenAssociations', 'Fonts', 'MenuFiles' and 'Temporary System Parameters'.

I'm guessing editing that file could solve my problem on at least one computer, but I don't know how to get to it. I even tried creating the missing directory and string value in Registry Editor myself (in a desperate attempt) but since I don't know anything about that, it didn't fix anything. What should I do?
