No More Room In Hell is now on Steam, available on Mac, free as it was!
Get it here: http://store.steampo...com/app/224260/

No More Room in Hell is the ultimate ruthless and unforgiving co-operative zombie survival experience on the Source Engine, delivering award winning survival horror gameplay with dozens of weapons and multiple game modes.

"When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth."

A tribute to the highly acclaimed film series in which the above quote originated from, No More Room in Hell (PC Gamer's Mod of the Year 2011, ModDB's Editor Choice Multiplayer Mod of the Year 2011), is a co-operative realistic first person survival horror modification for the Source Engine. Taking inspiration from George Romero's Of the Dead series, the mod is set during a time in which the world is on the verge of collapsing into chaos from a disease in which its origins are unknown. Many experts and organizations have their theories and ideas on how such a disease emerged and started to systematically destroy our very way of life, but one fact is clear to all. Whoever perishes from the disease gets up and kills, and the people they killed get up and kill.

The chances of you surviving this all out war of society and the undead are slim to none. Already, there are millions of the walking dead shambling about, searching for food to eat. There's no known cure. One bite can possibly end it all for you. However, you aren't alone in this nightmare. There are still a handful of uninfected survivors left in this god forsaken hellhole, and with co-operation and teamwork, you may live long enough to fight your way to salvation.

Features:
  • Co-operative play with up to eight players.
  • Dynamic Objective Maps: The next playthrough may not be the same like the last!
  • Survival Mode: Defend and maintain your shelter against the undead in the hopes of getting extracted to a safe area.
  • A realistic approach: In short, no crosshairs and HUD. In addition, ammo and weapons are extremely scarce. With that in mind, aim down your sights and shoot for the head!
  • Multitude of different opponents: Ranging from the iconic "walking zombie" to the more contemporary "runners", NMRiH will keep you on your toes with a mix of dangerous foes to face down. However, the most dangerous enemy may not always be the walking dead...
  • Infection: One bite may be what it takes to bring you down. If infected, you must decide if you want to alert your team to rid you of your burden, or to keep quiet in the hopes of finding a cure...
  • 34 weapons and counting, ranging from the diminutive .22 Target Pistol, to the almighty Chainsaw.
  • Powered by Source
Personal Notes:
Watched this when Pewdie and Cry were playing together. It got my interest, and I wanted something to play with my friends (hopefully it works), so I got round to porting it.
I'm not sure if you can join servers properly and stuff. Just test it for me.

My System Specs:
- OS: Mac OSX 10.6.8
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz
- RAM: 4 GB
- Video:    nVidia GeForce 320M 256MB
- Disk Space: I'm guessing the game size increases as you download more maps, so I'm going to say: 10 GB.

Known Issues:
1. Cursor may appear and block the centre of the screen, mildly irritating those marksmen when aiming down the sights, etc. I'm not sure how to make the cursor disappear. If someone could tell me, I'd be glad to add it here so people can fix it.

Installation:
1) Download the game files from http://www.nomoreroominhell.com/. Download the latest 1.05 version.

2) Download this wrapper, meaning you download all of the files on the Mediafire page. Put the files into one new folder. Ensure none of them are corrupted. Download 3 files at a time and check the filesizes for any irregularities.

3) Unzip the wrapper and the game files. To do this, first download 7zX from the internet, which is a free 7-zip app for the mac.
To extract the wrapper, go into the folder with all the parts, and drag the first part onto 7zX (7zX functions as a drag and drop application). 7zX will get cracking on extracting the stuff. Leave it be as it extracts and do other stuff while waiting.

4) You should now get a folder called The NMRiH Folder and another with the game files. Inside the game files folder there should be a folder called nmrih.

5) Drag and drop the nmrih folder onto the provided alias called "Drag unzipped folder here".
In case the alias doesn't work, put the nmrih folder in

drive_c/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/sourcemods
which you should have been directed to by the alias in The NMRiH folder.

6) Launch the app. You will now see Steam opened in the app.
You do need to have a Steam account for this mod.

7) Once you login, head into Library, then underneath that click on Installed, or All, or Games. You should then see No More Room In Hell as a game in the library.
Then just click play.

PS. If you're crashing pretty often then try switching the graphical settings to how I have it in the video.

Here's a gameplay vid that I recorded, with the old wrapper, not the new one.:

Ok, I get it, link is broken.

Mediafire suspended my account (I have no idea why), I'm working to get it back. This process can't be rushed as it all depends on them, so your patience please.
I'm reuploading it on a new account now, it will be ready in a few hours.
thanks man, this game is awesome :)

Come on, give me a break.

I've had a chance to rework the wrapper again, and I've fixed problems that were previously present in the game. What more do you want? D:
Anyway, at this time of posting the links have been updated. Go get em.

Thanks.
I appreciate the effort but nothing works here, i'm guessing this was supposed to link me to a file download but it linked me to a folder with 8 different downloads, 7 of which are 200mb which is ridiculous for a wrapping, upon downloading the first file, I then unwrapped it and there was NOTHING in side, 200mb of NOTHING, which is 7z even being used ? Macs don't have an unzipper for 7z by default. I tried downloading the 8th file, 68 mb and my mac said there is no way of unzipping it. I really want to play this mod and it's incredibly disappointing to find out that this wrapper doesn't work.

Alright, stop the complaining. I don't like the caps. Everything is done for a reason. Let me explain.
This, No More Room in Hell, is a mod from the Source SDK. Therefore, it requires the Source SDK, and hence it has been installed and included in the wrapper already. This explains the space.
7z is being used for better compression, and so Mediafire can't read the contents of the files. (According to some info I got) Because my last Mediafire account recently got permanently suspended. Yes, Macs don't have an unzipper for 7z by default, but you can download open source software, called 7zX, to unarchive the item. Because you did not download all the parts, of course you would get nothing.

It is not incredibly disappointing, but rather I think it's a lack of information on your part and probably your first time doing such a thing. Now go enjoy. :)

PS. Remember to read the installation instructions on the port page here.
