In “OFF” you take control of a mysterious person called “The Batter”, who is described to be on an important mission. The Batter, and yourself as his controller, are dropped off in zone 0, the first of 4 zones in a perplexing, unknown world about which you slowly find out more and more in the process of the game.

Personal Notes:
Weird game requested by a PortingTeam member. And it seems to have caught on with a large number of people as well. So... here. You should also know this is the English translated version.

My System Specs:
- OS: Mac OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz
- RAM: 4GB
- Video:    nVidia GeForce 320M 256MB
- Disk Space:   400MB

Known Issues:
Background music can stop after entering and exiting a room/place.
I don't know how to fix it. But it is entirely playable from what I have tried so far.

Download the game.
Extract the game.
Run the game :]

What's New in Version 1.1 (See full changelog)

  • -Installed RTP as recommended by the Readme accompanying the original game files for fixing any errors that popped up. If errors still appear, I don't know what else to do.
  • -Recreated the wrapper.
  • -Compressed using Archive Utility this time, it should be easier to access.

Thanks kindly to Tuna for doing this port on my request. I've installed and seem to be able to play, though I do get some strange screen distortions at the top of the screen and when moving between areas:

(Apologies for the photo; can't do a screenshot when in the game, it seems)

This only happens when the game is in full screen mode. When I have it in a smaller window mode (reached with CMD Tab), there is no distortion at all.

I did get one error message when extracting:

Anyway, the game seems to run perfectly fine regardless of the distortion and the error, but I figured I'd bring them up just in case you knew anything. My graphics card is Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB, if that makes a difference. Anyway, I'll take to Tumblr and let people know there is a way to play on Mac now!
Wow, I'm really excited for this and i downloaded it as soon as I heard about it from a friend but i keep getting an error that I got when i tried to download it before and run it with regular Wine, not Wineskin:

Is there a specific engine I have to install for Wineskin? I got no errors during extraction. I'm using "The Unarchiver" to do so if that makes a difference.
Hmm. I assume now that I have read the post over again that I should try 7zX. Will do and come back with results.
Yup, I'm still getting the same error.

Are you running it via Wine, or Wineskin?
You should try installing 1.5.29 in Wineskin.

If that still doesn't work, I may know of a fix for it.
Also, I'll try re-compressing the file again...
I have 1.5.29 installed and did at the time that I was trying to run it. I have both running at any time so I dont know if it's possible to tell which I am running it through. I will quit Wine and try again.
It doesn't seem that running Wine was the problem.

I did some stuff to it, care to try it out?

I redownloaded, this time when I extracted I got a new folder called "_MACOSX" with a 0 byte app inside of it, as well as getting the application OFF. I ran it and got the same error.
I'll have to do it later but i will try uninstalling both Wine and Wine Bottler and then running it.
Don't know why you can't run it... If Mercutio can then you should be able to, since you're both on 10.7 and it doesn't seem to be a graphics card issue.
I'm currently on 10.7.5 and have 5 software updates available. Perhaps it's something to do with my exact version. I will try updating and see if it fixes anything.
Yea that didn't work. (not that i really expected it too, it was just in case)
Oosh, then I don't know what's up, sorry.
