both links are dead
:( Both are down...
I will add new links next weekend.
I don't have much time, but the wrapper needs to rebuild, because I deleted it installing Snow Leopard.
Thanks dude, it's much appreciated! Keep up the good work!
Hello Drakulix, I'm sorry to bother you with this but I was wondering if you could help a brother out. None of the included widescreen patches are for my native screen resolution, could you advise me where I can find a patch for my screen resolution 1680x1050?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maci
Yes,
I've made this patches with the UNIWS Patcher.
Google it it's a Windows exe.
Use the "normal" cracked speed.exe and name it speed2.exe.
Than start the UNIWS Patcher with Crossover or Wine an select "Need for Speed Underground 2".
Type in your Resolution to override the 640x480 Resolution.
Select your NFS Most Wanted Folder, apply the patch.
Rename the speed2.exe to speed.exe.
In the game select 640x480 and have fun!

P.S. It was really hard to find this solution, all "official" MostWanted Solutions don't start in Cider.
Sweetest Racing game in the world thnx

Yes it works in Tiger (newest updates), Leopard (10.5.2 or higher) and Snow Leopard.
I'm trying to add the Modloader for nfsMW in mac.
All I have to do is add modloader.ini and d3d9.dll files that I got from nfsCars.net.
And then add a commandLine flag "-mod" to load the modloader.ini.

So far no succes I added this in the config file in Contents/Resources/Preferences of the Game at the bottom:
[appdefaults\\speed.exe\\transgaming]
"cmdlineadd" = "-mod"

The game still starts up but no modloader initiated.
The New cider from CoH 2097 has a field:
CiderGameOptions
-- *** -flag
to add cmdcommands but the game crashes for some reason.

any idea's ?

I'll look at this mod...
I don't know it so I can't say anything about it for now.

EDIT: I found the mod loader, will try it and maybe post a how-to-use-it here.
EDIT2: Seems that today there wound be an how-to.
The mod-install files are not cider compatible, and I didn't have any registry keys of most wanted, so crossover doesn't
detect any nfs most wanted install.. Also I my install CD is not at home, I'll get it tomorrow.

And don't try to use newer cider versions. They have problems with Most Wanted don't know why. Maybe I'll upload a
second crossover wrapper, with worse performance but better mod compatibility (like camera mod's or the nfs control
            center).
btw be happy that the widescreen mod works... ;)
OK thnx

If you are a fan of the game you will Love the mod it makes it possible to add any car you want from the nfsmw series up.
alter textures, improve AI of the game, increase Heat possiblity to level 8 ...

Just imagine having 30 Cop hummers trucks trying to stop you

I'll keep trying myself to
I'll post it here if i get it

*EDIT*
You got the mod.exe yea i had the same sjit.
the only thing it does it paste the files in the correct folder.
<------how to install ------>
First get the files http://www.mediafire.com/?qtjkzxjmmze
place the next files inside C:/Program Files/EA Games/Need for Speed Most Wanted/

modloader.ini
d3d9.dll

Then create this Folder and sub Folders in the same Directory named:

ADDONS
ADDONS/FRONTEND
ADDONS/FRONTEND/MANUFACTURERS (this is where the files will come to alter logo's in the game)
ADDONS/CARS_REPLACE ( this is where files will come to alter the cars you want to "replace"
*no you can't add cars only replace crappy one's like fiat punto for Bugatti veyron and yea it WILL sound like a veyron and drive like one incl speed :D*

thats it

now in windows you would create a shortcut and add a parameter -mod and that would load the loader.
BUT v course on a mac thats not possible.

You can also start the modloader in Win from cmd by also adding -mod flag like c:/>.... /speed.exe -mod
meaning that the flag is a simple command added in cmd
If we can get it to work I'll create a How to Use Thread for this

THAT'S FUNNY!!!
Okay I must try to get it to work.
But see edit's above....

But if I write a how-to-install-this-mod
you have to write a how-to-use-it.
