Rift is a MMORPG set in a fantasy world called Telara, which is the focal point of several different elemental Planes. These Planes are realities representing the elemental forces of Air, Fire, Water, Earth, Life, and Death, and it is at the one point where every one of these Planes intersect with each other that Telara exists. Each Plane is governed by a Dragon-deity, which is the personification of that elemental force. Through the actions of the Dragon of Extinction, Regulos, the various Dragons have united in an alliance known as the Blood Storm, for the purpose of invading Telara and gaining use of the intersection of all of their realms. In the past, the Blood Storm was defeated by the inhabitants of Telara with the help of the Vigil, the most powerful of the native gods of Telara.
Regulos was cast out into the elemental Planes, while its five compatriots were trapped within Telara and chained beneath a Ward designed to close Telara off from external threats. However, recently, Regulos has gained entry to Telara, destroying the Ward and causing Rifts to open to the elemental Planes, feeding the strength of the trapped Dragons and allowing their minds to enter in a bid to destroy Telara's defenders. Opposing Regulos within Telara are two factions: the Guardians and the Defiant. The conflict between these two factions serves as another source of tension and gameplay. Players have the role of Ascended, superhuman resurrected warriors whose task is to defeat the forces of Regulos and cleanse Telara forever of the threat of the Storm.

- FIX: This will happen if you didn't let the game FULLY update

- Loading screens are just flashing lights (Epilepsy warning!)
- FIX: No fix so far

Comment if you find more issues

Installation:
Double click on the downloaded wrapper and click Install Software. Then click Choose Setup Executable. Download it from here: http://www.riftgame.com/en/ and it will look something like RIFT-Install-0-5lq373.exe. A blank screen will pop up with a slider. You can wait for the rest of the screen to appear or you can click the screen (this sometimes works). When you get to the screen where there is Play As Guest or Login just click login. Then type in your login and login. After this click update and wait for it to finish. IMPORTANT: The update must completely finish before you play!  Then just play. Enjoy!

because app is damaged by google doc.

RedBob1999, make sure use zip or 7zip for hosting file like Google Doc.

I am compressing the file now so it will work. It says 1 hour until it compresses
Thanks! I've been waiting to see if anyone would port this game. Is there a way that you could disable the request access?

Could you explain what you mean by "request access"
When trying to download this port, I am prompted by google docs: "You are signed in as **********@gmail.com, but you don't have permission to access this item. You can request access from the owner or choose a different account. Learn more.". I think you have to change your security settings for this file on google docs.

Oh... Thanks I remember needing to change the permissions now. I am changing it know. Thanks for your help!
No problem! thanks for the port!
Thank you so much for updating, it's installing now! =D
I don't think my computer is capable of running it with decent graphics, but the wrapper is great, good job! I'm gonna stick to Guild Wars 2 (which surprisingly runs better while still looking better, not sure if it's just a different engine or if this wrapper isn't optimized, idk) but thanks for your efforts and keep it up! =)

My graphics card is the NVIDIA 320m, so if you wanted some input (I noticed NVIDIA is grey as in "not tested") then i'd say the game is playable on minimum graphics, but VERY laggy at higher graphics. Personally I wouldn't play it with minimum graphics, so it's not really playable for me. But I think that's just my graphics card and my computer, not the wrapper, but I don't know for sure. Anyway, good job!

Thank you for your input! I will try to optimize the wrapper.
Hey there, so I tried to use this on my Macbook Air, i5 1.7GHz, intel HD 3000, and I got pretty bad performance, under 15 FPS if I had to estimate. Is my computer just too low spec to run the game? I've seen people run it well on boot camp, and I suspect my computer just doesn't run wine well.

Thanks!
thanks

I don't know. It may be your computer or it may be my wrapper.
