THIS WRAPPER SHOULD NOT BE USED TO LAUNCH ORIGIN GAMES, ONLY TO DOWNLOAD THEM!

ONCE YOU DOWNLOAD THE GAME THROUGH ORIGIN, YOU MUST FIND THE GAME FOLDER, ADD A NOCD CRACK AND PUT THE GAME FOLDER IN A SPECIFIC WRAPPER MADE FOR THE GAME.

  • Chrome or Firefox must be used to correctly download from Mega.co.nz!
  • Use 7zX to extract the .dmg file. Open the DMG and drag the wrapper to your desktop.
  • If you are new to porting/using wrappers, please visit this page: http://portingteam.c...-downloaded-it/
  • IF YOU ARE AN AMD USER THAT USES OSX Lion 10.7.5: You will probably (most likely) experience severe lag. Please try and upgrade to 10.8.3 since wine does not function well with AMD GPUs and 10.7.5..
Origin (formerly EA Store) is a digital distribution, digital rights management system from Electronic Arts that allows users to purchase games on the internet for PC and mobile platforms, and download them with the Origin client (formerly EA Download Manager, EA Downloader and EA Link). Origin for Mac has been available since February 8, 2013. Origin features social features like profile management, networking with friends with chat and direct game joining along with an in-game overlay, streaming via TwitchTV and sharing of game library and community integration with networking sites like Facebook, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Nintendo Network. Electronic Arts has stated that it wanted Origin to match Valve's Steam service, Origin's leading competitor, by the end of March 2012, by adding cloud game saves, auto-patching, achievements and rewards, and cross-platform releases.
Since Origin's launch, the service has received criticism over EA's practice of suspending or deleting accounts for disputed infractions, suspected monitoring of users' computer activity. Origin users are identified by their unified Origin account, which supersedes an EA account and may be canceled if left unused after 24 months if there are not any premium games on it.[dubious – discuss] According to EA, as of February 2012, Origin has been installed by 9.3 million users.

Personal Notes:

- I decided to make a wrapper allowing people to download PC Games from Origin's PC Client, through WINE, since there was a recent Humble 'Origin' Bundle that not many Mac OSX users could take advantage of.

To view the humble Origin bunlde while it lasts, CLICK HERE.

My System Specs:

- OS: OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2
- CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k @ 4.2GHz
- RAM: 16GB 1600MHz
- Video: 2GB MSI GTX 670 OC Edition
- SSD: Samsung 840 120GB

Known Issues:

- None so far!

Installation:

Posted Image

  • Right click the wrapper, show package contents and 'Install Origin' highlighted in Orange.
  • Let Origin install - Be sure to install Origin in C:/Program Files/Origin/ shown below, it should be the DEFAULT install location!
  • *****AN INTERNET CONNECTION IS REQUIRED FOR ORIGIN TO UPDATE*****
  • Don't select 'Restart windows' until the entire install process is finished!
  • Once its installed, launch the wrapper!
  • You will then see the origin login window, Simply enter your account details and login! Or if you haven't got an account yet, simply create it!

Now, whenever you launch the wrapper, it will sign into Origin and allow you to INSTALL your game via your 'My Games' tab

.

If you need access to ANY of the game files you have installed through origin, you can find them in "drive_c/Program Files/Origin Games/"

Hi, I'm new to porting and was trying to make this port myself, but I have been having some problems. When I get halfway through the install it says program error, but when I  click don't send another screen pops up but it is all white. Any help?
Thanks Man.  I bought that bundle too and this will help alot to download and transfer the data games.
Every time I open Install origin I get this error
Extract: error writing to file
C:\users\daniel\Temp\\Origin\installerdll(random numbers different every time here).dll
Works like a charm, thanks
Wow, how did you get Origin running? I've tried to get Origin running for my Fifa 13 port before but i couldn't.

Required a patched wine engine and a LOT of extra DLL's installed

Could you make a tutorial on how you did it? I am very curious. Great job by the way!

I got a few errors downloading a game through origin on my first try, turns out its simply a wine compatability issue. All i can suggest is that you keep trying to re-download the game, I cant help otherwise.
Thanks man
After I install it, the Install Origin wrapper just closes itself. I can't really know if it has finished installing because it won't show no dialogue or option to restart Windows or anything. And after that, when I open the Origin wrapper nothing happens. I'm on OSX 10.8.4, AMD Radeon 6750M 512MB.

EDIT: Solved it. Just had to disable the use of Mac Driver instead of X11 and disable quartz-vm for the window decorations.
I got it to work :D

I've download Dead Space 3, intalled it, however whenever I click Play a window pops up telling me that "Activation.dll load failed".

Any fix on this?

EDIT: I also downloaded Battlefield 3, but this time with "AWC.dll load failed"......

And nope, Repair Install does not fix the issue.

Well thats the reason I didn't port it yet. I have origin running itself including the downloading fix for about a half year the problem however is the activation dll issue, and no cracking is in my case out of the question, so I am fighting with that issue for a while now. Especially because some games like battlefield 1942 free and C&C series in origin is quite interesting.
