Please check that your Macbook/iMac/Mac Mini/Mac Pro passes the minimum PC requirements for running this game before downloading.

THIS IS NOT THE FULL GAME, IT IS ONLY A WINESKIN WRAPPER. If you wish to play Mirrors Edge, I firmly suggest you BUY it from the Steam Store OR Origin. If you are unable to do so then save some money for it or obtain it another way at your own risk.

If this port works well, please leave a rating!

  • Chrome or Firefox must be used to correctly download from Mega.co.nz!
  • Use 7zX to extract the .dmg file. Open the DMG and drag the wrapper to your desktop.
  • If you are new to porting/using wrappers, please visit this page: http://portingteam.c...-downloaded-it/
  • IF YOU ARE AN AMD USER THAT USES OSX Lion 10.7.5: You will probably (most likely) experience severe lag. Please try and upgrade to 10.8.3 since wine does not function well with AMD GPUs and 10.7.5..
In Mirror's Edge, the player controls the protagonist, Faith, from a first-person perspective as she is challenged to navigate across a gleaming city, by jumping between rooftops, running across walls, and gaining access to buildings through ventilation shafts. This is accomplished by use of techniques and movements inspired by the discipline of parkour.[8] According to senior producer Owen O'Brien, Mirror's Edge aims to "convey [...] strain and physical contact with the environment", with the goal of allowing a freedom of movement previously unseen in the first-person genre.[9][10] In order to achieve this, camera movement pays more attention to character movement. For example, as Faith's speed builds up while running, the rate at which the camera bobs up and down increases. When a roll is executed, the camera spins with the character.[11][12] Faith's arms, legs, and torso are prominent and their visibility is used to convey movement and momentum. The character's arms pump and the length of her steps increase with her gait, and her legs cycle and arms flail during long jumps

Personal Notes:

- The game seems to run great on max settings, with VSYNC and Physx OFF.

My System Specs:

- OS: OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2
- CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k @ 4.2GHz
- RAM: 16GB 1600MHz
- Video: 2GB MSI GTX 670 OC Edition
- SSD: Samsung 840 120GB

Known Issues: Physx seems to bring down system performance a little, its best to just leave it disabled.

Installation:

  • Right click the wrapper, show package contents and Steam Setup
  • Let steam install.
  • Once its installed, go into wineskin.app within the wrapper, next to the steam setup launcher, and click on advanced.
  • Change the 'Windows EXE' line to: /Program Files/Steam/steam.exe and then exit wineskin.app. (if you want to use UPlay, do the same thing as what you do to launch steam).
  • Finally, run the wrapper, steam will launch, sign in to your steam account and download Mirrors Edge.
  • Lastly, simply find Mirrors Edge in your steam library and run it!

Now, whenever you launch the wrapper, it will sign into steam and allow you to launch your game via your 'Steam Game Library'.

For 'non steam users':
Please note that I do not (in any way) promote piracy and that I highly recommend you PURCHASE the games that you want to play!

  • Right click the wrapper, show package contents and launch wineskin.app, then select install new software.
  • Locate the setup.exe file (that is within the .ISO you probably downloaded, if you download a .ISO file, double click it to mount it!) and install the PC files by going through the setup.
  • -- Don't bother installing directx and vcrun if it asks you too. --
  • Then, go back into the contents of the wrapper, go to: drive_c ----> Program Files ----> Mirrors Edge ---> Binaries then drag/paste in the appropriate NoCD crack INSIDE the Binaries folder (make sure the NOCD crack works with the version of the game you have downloaded).

The last step is to launch the wrapper!

cool port dan thank you :D
How will i do for the Origin version??
5 stars your wrappers always for me
Amazing Wrapper.

For others to know: I am using this wrapper to run Medal of Honor 2010 and Mirror's Edge on a Macbook Pro Retina 13" with Intel HD Graphics 4000.

Didn't go through all the game but so far, so good.

Good job Dan!
Green on Intel HD :D
uhh would this wrapper work for other games in the humble bundle? :/
According to what Dan said, it will probably work on any Unreal 3 Engine game. I tested on MoH 2010 and its working very very good. A few glitches on sound but nothing that I can't live with.
also works with TMNT: Out of the Shadows !!!

Hey I got this error on from wine...couldn't load main module (8)
Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000000 in 32-bit code (0x00412751).

Does somebody know how to fix it?
i can't run Steam in this wrapper! It always says "Steam needs to be online to update. Please confirm your network connection and try again" Never saw that before! Maybe i'll try my prebuilt Steam Wrapper for this game...

Works fine for me... Did nothing other than installing Steam out of Dan's instructions.
As all other Mass Effect 2's ports are very very poor, I am giving this wrapper a try on ME2 on this exact moment.
OK, testing Mass Effect 2 right now on this wrapper. Retina Mac Pro with Intel HD.
Performance looks very good. Port is showing the same problem found on several other ports though: Sound messed up and some shadows look odd. Also, characters eyes look all black.

Dan, could you take a look at this when you have time?
