Spelunky is a unique platformer with randomized levels that offer a challenging new experience each time you play. Journey deep underground and explore fantastic places filled with all manner of monsters, traps, and treasure. You'll have complete freedom while you navigate the fully-destructible environments and master their many secrets.

Purchase on Steam: http://store.steampo....com/app/239350

Personal Notes:
- Runs at full 60fps at 2560x1440 on my iMac, no issues.
- Controller support through the x360ce project.
- Wrapper includes preinstalled .NET frameworks through v4.0, which is required for x360ce.
- A default profile for the PS3 Dualshock (SIXAXIS) controller has been included; you shouldn't need to change anything to use it.  For other controllers, you'll need to launch the x360ce configuration app.  To do so, right-click on the wrapper, Show Contents and launch ‘x360ce Controller Configuration’.  Your results may vary, depending on wine support for your controller/joystick.
- When copying or installing the game, make sure not to overwrite or remove the following files from the "Spelunky" directory or you will lose controller support!
  • x360ce.exe
  • x360ce.gdb
  • x360ce.ini
  • xinput1_3.dll
My System Specs:
- OS:               Mac OS X 10.8.4
- CPU:             2.8 GH Intel Core i7
- RAM:            8 GB
- Video:          ATI Radeon HD 4850M (512MB)
- Disk Space:  Requires 1.1GB free space

- Purchase and install the game through Steam, then copy the contents of the Spelunky folder from your SteamApps directory into the wrapper's, making sure not to replace the files noted above.

Known Issues:
- Unsure if multiplayer or Steam Community features work, these may require a full installation of the Steam client.  To install Steam, hold down 'option' key immediately after launching the wrapper to access the Wineskin configuration, then click the Advanced button.  Under the 'Tools' tab, click the Winetricks button and search for "Steam". In the results, click the arrow next to the 'apps' section and then check the box for 'steam', and press "Run" beneath it:

Winetricks will install and configure the files necessary to enable Steam.  Depending on your installation, this may be all that's necessary.  If not, you can then install the full Steam client application and use it to login and manage your game.

This works amazingly good...I really love this game

Personal Notes:
- Runs at full 60fps...

How did you checked this?!?

Is there a way to see fps during the game?!?
Amazing.  Thanks.
Can anyone help me, please, with setting up a Wired Xbox Controller?
I made my own wrapper (the same Steam installation I'm using for other gamese, ie Terraria) and I wanted to try playing Spelunky with a controller.
I copied x360ce files in the Spelunky folder.
I then tried copying over jesstech x360ce.ini, but since he's using a PS3 controller the scheme was messed up (still the controller was detected).

Any tip/idea?
Maybe a x360ce.ini for the Xbox 360 wired controller installed via Tattlebogie 1.2 on OS X 1.8.5.
Or a suggestion to run the x360ce.in app, to create my ini.

i'm a little unclear on how to do this. is there any way to use a .exe with the port or does this only work with steam?
I am unsure how to run the app.
When i open Spelunky and the wineskin opens. It asks me to install software ( choose setup .exe) i cannot click even into spelunky it is dulled out. When you go advance options to pick the windows .exe if you try and click the spelunky .exe it opens it up again but the drive_C.

Thank you

Through some trial and error process I managed to use my Xbox Wired Controller while playing on OS X 10.8.5 with Tattiebogle drivers via WineSkin by editing Jesstech x360ce.ini

Now I can play Spelunky with a pad : )
I followed the instructions precisely and copied into the wrapper's Spelunky directory the following:

When run, I get the error "Error Initializing Steam API".
I'm going to try installing steam itself to see if that fixes it.
Well, i ended up just installing steam and using it that way.
Bought and installed the game through steam smoothly.

Having trouble downloading the wrapper completely.  Download always gets stuck on 4%.  Restarted the download many times.  Any help would be appreciated.  Cheers.

Edit: Just set up a free user account on the mega site.  Tried downloading file as .zip, still no luck.

Turned out to be a problem with firefox, got the wrapper downloaded using chrome.

Game works fine when running it through Steam app.  That would be fine for me but I cant seem to get a 360 controller working that way. So I'm trying to get the wrapper going...

But I'm getting an error every time I try to start Spelunky.  "Error initializing Steam API.  Please make sure Steam is installed and running."

Checked the steam app in winetricks and everything downloaded fine, but still getting the same error.  Tried opening Spelunky when logged into full Steam (windows version) but still no luck.

Also tried moving the controller related files into the SteamApps - Spelunky folder, but the game doesn't get past the directx download with those files in there.

Anyways let's end this rant.  Long story short, I'm just trying to get a 360 controller working on this game.  Any help will be appreciated.  Cheers fellas.
It's working for me, on Intel HD Graphics 3000.
Thank you!!
Here's my modified .ini to play with a Xbox controller using x360ce (as the author of the wrapper suggests).
Bear in mind I have the controller working on OS X through Tattibogle drivers (http://tattiebogle.n...oller/OsxDriver)

Find the x360ce.ini file, edit it and paste my settings over. (To be on the safe side, save the original file as a backup)
I'm having no luck with the game recognising my PS3 pad.

The pad is showing up on my mac via Bluetooth, Spelunky is installed via Steam. Steam launches into Spelunky and the game runs fine, but nothing with the pad. Is there something obvious I'm missing?
To clarify, I have all of the x360e files required in the same "Spelunky" folder as the rest of the game files, within the package.
