What is M.A.M.E.?

MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator.

When used in conjunction with images of the original arcade game's ROM and disk data, MAME attempts to reproduce that game as faithfully as possible on a more modern general-purpose computer.

MAME can currently emulate several thousand different classic arcade video games from the late 1970s through the modern era.

MAME is free. Its source code is free. Selling either is not allowed.

MAME is strictly a non-profit project. Its main purpose is to be a reference to the inner workings of the emulated arcade machines.

This is done both for educational purposes and for preservation purposes, in order to prevent many historical games from disappearing forever once the hardware they run on stops working.

Of course, in order to preserve the games and demonstrate that the emulated behavior matches the original, you must also be able to actually play the games. This is considered a nice side effect, and is not MAME's primary focus.

Thank you for the port...it´s really awesome!...but is there any way to play using gamepad on the wrapper?...Thank you so much again for the mame port!
Thank you for this!  Awesome.  Is there a way to have my roms show up in the list to the left?  All is shows is Pong.  I can play them when I go through the search bar.

you have to explore the wrapper content ("show content"). Inside, you have to go to drive_c/program files/mamep/roms...put the roms inside this folder and refresh the list with F5

I use my 360 wired controller without any problems... You must load a game, then press TAB button e select the player 1 control... Then set your gamepads  buttons here...
For the roms, personally I prefere put a roms folder inside my documents folder and redirect all to it

Note: pong is the only game included with mame plus, so for others roms, you have to search to obtain in other way...

It's not needed to explore all, when you click on Show content package, you can see the alias for Roms folder where you can put the roms you have...
Thank you for your answer!....You have a problem selecting roms with mouse or keyboard after loading the first rom?
I can´t choose another rom after loading the first...Greetings!
no, I have no problem about it ... When I go out from a game with the ESC key on the keyboard, reappears the GUI of  Mame plus and I can choose either with the keyboard or with the mouse the next game to load ... Only Occasionally after a little games, may darken the screen (whether in full screen) and get stuck, but only to the launch of yet another game ... in that case, press command + alt and ESC to unlock everything and restart the mameplus ...

It´s too odd...When I press ESC to go out from a game a little windows appears with an OK button. I can´t read it because of small font. After pressing OK the menu goes crazy and i have to restart to choose another game. it´s supposed you have disabled "Exit with confirmation". Then when I press ESC i should go to menu without appearing a window. Thank you so much!
it could depend by your hardware, different by mine...

try to open the wrapper (show content package) and launch Settings.app within it, then try to click on set screen options and select "use mac drivers instead of X11"

PS: the Ok button is shown also to me, but when i click on it the menù it works again correctly...

If the solution described above does not work again, try eventually to set the screen like this:
