EDIT:
Beta2 is fixed with the quartz-wm issue.

i think sth is possibly broken with 2.5.4v2 engine base which is causing custom engines to fail (port quits pretty much instantly without any prompt). the wine1.4-rc4 engine downloaded from winery totally does NOT have this quit problem VS same 1.4-rc4 unpatched custom build built from the same source code has this problem??? i'm quite sure this is not a wine bug at the moment.... seems all my custom engines all experience the same problem ever since i upgraded to 2.5.4v2 engine base earlier this week...

i will try to downgrade wineskin to 2.5.3 or earlier to see if the same problem is present or not.....

AppDB lists Shogun 2 as "silver" so porting it with Wineskin should be quite straight forward, i suppose.

1.3.28 was when DirectDrawRenderer is now defaulted to opengl instead of gdi. 1.3.29 was when a "skeleton" DIB engine is starting to get implemented.
Workaround for now is to set DirectDrawRenderer to gdi
