#64128 [REQ] Fable III

Posted by vvsamiamvv on 28 September 2011 - 05:18 PM in Open Requests

Sorry about that, I accidentally submitted the post instead of previewed.  Added info

So I tried doing this myself using Wineskin.  Turns out that I can get it passed the DRM by using skidrow's paul.dll and installing Games For Windows Live using either the package included with my copy of Fable 3 or winetricks.  It will now launch the  game into a blank screen with the in-game cursor, but doesn't do anything beyond that.  I am poking further to see if I can get it to make any progress.  Would be interested if any of you seasoned porters would have any luck.

Great game.  Anyone have time to look at porting it?

Game Description
"'Fable III' is the latest installment to the action-packed and critically acclaimed Xbox 360 and Windows franchise that has sold more than six million copies. Fans new and returning will now embark on an epic adventure, where the race for the crown is only the beginning of your spectacular journey. Five decades have passed since the events of "Fable II," and Albion has matured into an industrial revolution, but the fate of the kingdom is at peril.

In 'Fable III,' you will be called upon to rally and fight alongside your people, ascend to the seat of power, and experience the true meaning of love and loss while defending your throne. In your quest to seize power and defend your kingdom, the choices you make will change the world around you, for the greater good or your own personal gain.

Who will you become? A rebel without a cause, the tyrant you rebelled against, or the greatest ruler to ever live?

Fable III Xbox 360 was released in October 2010
Fable III Windows PC will be released in the US on May 17"

Oh and trust me hacked ports or games for mac really suck and 99,9% of them don't work well ;)

Shame on you for saying such blasphemy on a web forum completely dedicated to DIY porting for macs.

#49564 Mac OS 10.7 'Lion' - thoughts?

I have always stood by the saying "you get what you pay for."  You want something cheaply built that will last you 2 years, buy a cheap PC. You want something solid that you can still use 5 years from now, buy a mac.  I have used the same MacBook Pro (the first intel apple laptop in 2006) since I started college and I have since graduated and still use it for work and entertainment.  It keeps up just fine and still barely shows its age.  I would like you to find someone as satisfied with their $500 piece of junk they bought from cosco or walmart 5 years ago!  You cant.
