STATUS:
- ATI : GREEN
- NVIDIA : GREEN
- GMA : GREY (Untested - Testers Needed)

Application Description:
nullDC is an open source Sega Dreamcast and Sega Naomi video game systems emulator for Microsoft Windows and other platforms.

Personal Notes:
The Dreamcast is one of the funniest / best systems ever. Games are still be released on it 14 years later. I much prefer playing it on my console, than Emulation, however.

Plot:
Depends on the game you play....

Port Info:
CXS Ebony Port Wine 1.2 - For Mac OS X 10.4.11 / Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard / Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
Wineskin 2.5.12 Wine 1.2.3 - For Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard / Mac OS X 10.7 Lion / Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion / Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

Application version = 1.3

Minimum System Requirements:
- OS: Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger +
- CPU: Intel Core Processor
- RAM: 512MB
- Video: Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti or ATi Radeon 8500
- about 380 megs of Hard Drive Space required for the Application + whatever space for your Roms.

Known Issues:
Online play not tested.

Installation:
Unzip the file - Drag the Dreamcast Folder to your Application Folder (or wherever) - open your Application folder and click on the Dreamcast.app to play.

I have only included 1 game (Cave Story). To play a game add the game's .cdi / .gdi file(s) to the Games folder - launch the Dreamcast.app

Also please note - that is Application has not been tested on a Macintosh with a GMA 950 Chipsets - though it should work.

How do I download from linksave? - See @ http://portingteam.c...rom-linksavein/ or use jdownloader - http://portingteam.c...s-the-easy-way/

I was having some SERIOUS overclocked issues at first (300+ VPS and 200+ RPS) with this which was just plug in settings, after some fiddling I got it to run smooth. Thanks for the sweet port I can finally play Shenmue again!

I am trying to set up a usb controller and I can't get it to work with the available plugins.  It seems I need the PuruPuru_Win32.dll plugin.  I can find it within the wine build, but can't access it through the program.  Any suggestions?

I found it online just now, maybe Waves fixed it or maybe is because I used the DLC container option once at linkcrypt.

It was not down to my knowledge. This is one thing I am working on to make it better in next little while. Several requests for this. I just have not had time.

Good day sir! I thank you for this but I'm also having problems with that second link. Not only that I'm having other problems.
  • I'm having serious problems configuring a regular controller with the first link version. It doesn't recognize it at all and there seems to be no options whatsoever as to how to get NullDC to recognize it. I got the PuruPuru plugin as spoken of in various places.

    http://www.theisozon...hp?f=27&t=33772
    http://sf94.reimuhak....0.4_setup.html
    https://docs.google....ZTIyZvnlZg/edit

This is where I read about the plugin but it's very hard to find.

    http://www.youtube.c...h?v=wHOc_aGFHr4

This is where I downloaded it but NullDC doesn't recognize it when I drag and drop it into the plugin folder. How can I get it to recognize a controller? Because playing Shenmue with the keyboard is ridiculously complicated. Ryo never seems to look far enough in the correct direction.
  • I'm having a problem keeping game saves. Though I play the game long enough to save it seems like every single time I leave and boot up NullDC again the game save is missing. Sometimes I have to go back and completely reconfigure the VMU.
  • Every time I boot it up it tells me that it has to install the Wine Gecko Package. I click to install it every single time but it doesn't seem as if it ever downloads. The download progress bar doesn't seem to move at all but thankfully everything runs okay otherwise.
Again I thank you for the work that you have put into this. I'm more than hype to finally be able to play the Shenmue Undub but sadly the controller won't work and the saves won't stay with the game. Please help!

Best thing on the internet these people that post download links and don't even care to update them when they're down. Not only is the second one not working but it seems linksave.in is even down.

Best thing on the internet - refreshing a download link every 10 seconds to make sure it is working for other self entitled people because I have nothing better to do all day....

Could have just sent a private message or you know, a polite post.

Good comment as first post in a new forum... my compliments! <_<

Best thing on the internet, these people that pretend the work of other people for free...

Another best thing on the internet is that anyone can write freely bull$hits, so you are very lucky... also people, as you, can now write about  their usefullness...
