Custom 1.7.20 for Fallout 3

The engine can be found here... http://cl.ly/2N3R0b3...oflicker.tar.7z
Do Not Extract this package. Place the downloaded file in Your User Name/Library/Application Support/Wineskin Winery/Engines
Now create a fresh wrapper using Wineskin Winery after you have selected the custom Wine no flicker engine.
After the wrapper has been created open the package contents (right click...show package contents) and navigate to Contents/Resources/drive_c/windows/system32 and download and place the following files in the folder.
msasn1.dll - http://www.dllbank.c.../msasn1.dll.zip, click ok when it asks you if you want to replace the current file.
xliveless: xlive.dll & xlive_d.dll - http://www.gtavision...te=do&DLID=2914
As a precaution I added these files to Fallout 3 main executable directory as well. It may work if they are only placed in the system32 folder but I also placed it in the same directory as fallout3.exe before I tested the wrapper out.
Now drag and drop this file (Fallout 3 icon by Porting Member Geichin) to your desktop and place it in the resources. Click ok when it asks you if you want to replace the current file. http://cl.ly/2A3r0x1...d/fallout3.icns
The wrapper is nearly ready to use....all that needs to be done now is to place the installed Fallout 3 game files into the wrapper in the program files folder. Inside the Package contents you will see the Wineskin app. Double click to launch Wineskin. Click on Advance and then browse button. Navigte to the fallout3.exe (you can also use falloutlauncher.exe) Once it is set close out Wineskin and double click the wrapper to launch the game.
This method worked perfectly and started up without any issues I haven't had the time to create a new folder with a symlinked app that will launch the mod manager and thought this would give some users a decent wrapper to use until I get Fallout 3 database entry updated.

I just wanted to say if anyone is on Mavericks and is looking where to put this file Library is a hidden folder now (why? who knows).
To show hidden files on Mac OS X (10.6 and 10.7 and lower)
Open terminal and enter.
defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
On Mavericks (Mac OS X 10.9) it is slightly different:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
to hide them again change TRUE - to FALSE
If it does not work for some reason you just need to relaunch Finder
How to get multiple file port games / apps runnning: http://portingteam.c...-combine-files/

You can download the later version of the wrapper here - http://portingteam.c...t-3-goty-v1703/
When I have some time I will create the same type of folder the previous versions have, with a symlinked launcher for the mod manager and creation kit.
