Greetings folks, new to all of this but cracking on nonetheless.

I've managed to get Outrun running on my machine, only problem is the graphics resolution is poop and the sound is worse. I tried changing the executable to load the setup file instead and that went nowhere.

There are no options to change the graphics settings once in game.

Also, I've noted that sometimes the game just freezes when loading and then you have to power off the Mac, which makes it load straight back into the crashed game till you power off again and it gives you the choice to not reload apps.

One more thing, when you do get back to OSX the icons on the desktop are all over the place.

Has anyone ported this game successfully yet?

My Mac OS X Version:
OS X 10.8.5

My Mac Model, GPU & CPU:
Processor  2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, Memory  16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB

Error Log(s):
< replace this string with: Error Log (if possible) from the Wrapper. Paste the Error Log here if it's not too long, otherwise use pastebin.com >

There is a port of this in the port database.

And to answer your other question, you need to edit the outrun .ini file to change screen resolution.

Thanks for that. I did look in the database but couldn't find it when searching using the string "Outrun" (it just pulled up another game called Fireburst that mentions the word in its description).

I shall edit the ini file and see how that goes.

Also, does using the latest version of the Cider wrapper always engender the best emulation? I'm using a fairly old version and was wondering whether its worth trying using the latest releaes.

Thanks

I have uploaded my custom Cider wrapper which has been optimized for best perfermance - i also included my custom .ini file which has the resolution set to 1280x800 by default - hope that helps:

Top man, thank you very much for that. I shall give this wrapper a spin.
