xinput never works

whenever i try to use a controller on games and apps that DO support xinput unless it is already packed in with the wrapper it doesen't work if i try to install it manually trought winetricks it doesen't work i don't konw what to do am i missing something?

Although I'm not sure if Wine will recognize the native driver...you will likely have to use a gamepad configuration app.

Gamepad support unfortunately has always been pretty spotty at best. Winetricks xinput usually does not work. So you will have to manually add it.

Or do as DankoB suggests. Alternately, gamepad companion works okay for the most part. Though I found the old version better than the new one.

how do you manually add controller support to your wrapper?
