We see lots of new People here every day, so how did you stumble upon us?

Did you see a link to us on another website, or did a friend tell ya about us?
Or perhaps some search Engine?

Let us know!

I was googling around the internets, when I came across a list of thedoctor45's ports. I found my way here, and after talking to loco in the chat for about 30 min (there was a problem with the ads he had just put on the page which caused google to flag the page as evil), I spent a while figuring out how all this worked, and decided the people here were awesome.

I was searching for some info on getting Oblivion working better under Wine, and some link posted something up about a Cider hack, which seemed like a good idea... and somehow I got directed over to the old ibrain forum that had the downloads for it... think it was off http://www.insanelymac.com/ forums

I tried to run Assassin's Creed in the Spore Cider, some days after Spore's release. Later I found loco's Port on Insanelymac. It was great to have a forum for those Cider things. Then the forum turned to portingteam.com. Now I'm three times a day in this wonderful forum. Thx for making this possible. (And it is bad, how many MacUsers don't know about this and are installing windows just for gaming. We should make more YouTube videos.)

I'm desperately trying to run Morrowind on my Mac. I first tried Wine/Winebottler then Crossover Games but it failed each time because I haven't any knowledge on the subjet. I have heard about Cider which seems to work well with Morrowind and I found your site by Google search.
It seems you are doing a great job here and I registered but as I said, I can't see how I could help you on this project =)

I stumbled upon you after seeing some torrents that were listed with wrappers and then proceeded to google wrappers which led me here. Seems like an awesome community project, thrilled to be a part.

I do have bootcamp but to be perfectly honest I've always preferred doing things on the OSX side whenever possible.

I saw a game that used a crossover wrapper on another site then I think I did a google search.  The rest is fuzzy on the details.  Love this premise of the site thought.  Anything that means I don't have to use my pc to play my games is good in my book.  I find the mac UI so much more efficient and prettier to look at.

Hi, I don't really remember how I found it. I was searching how to make a windows game run on Linux or MacOS and finally found it but after a loooooong time. Maybe from a link on codeweavers forums, but I'm not sure.

You may try to improve your google rank on "macOS games" keywords (that is, if you want more traffic).

I'm a gamer of days long gone. Old, as in I made a map editor for Ultima I on the Apple II.

Anyhow, I was always interested in Half-Life, but Intel Macs weren't released until after the Mac version had been canned, and bootcamp came out after I had completely lost interest. I've used VMW Fusion plenty, but not for games - too slow, and I just don't like having to dual-boot...

Then, I heard about Steam for Mac, and the free Portal offer. It was great for a day, and then over. But when HL2 was released, I swooped it up along with HL2 Ep1 & 2. But I wanted to do the original HL first. I went searching for HL, and then HL:Source, with the HRes pack, and landed up here.

All the work I see going on is very impressive.

Hi.  Found you guys through mac rumours.  I am a great fan of the Sid Meier games and was looking for info re Civ V - someone referred me to Darkuser's port.  I just recently learned that games could be ported like this and am sort of beginning to understand how this all works, although I'm pretty sure my understanding won't be enough to do the ports themselves.  So, I want to tell all you guys that your efforts are greatly appreciated by me - thanks so much!

I found the Porting Team when I was looking up Payback, a classic mac game on YouTube, that I had on my iPod Touch.  I saw it on The Porting Team YouTube channel, and I looked it up on Google, and you this website is actually the top hit for Porting Team, which is interesting, so now here I am.  I like the forum, and it's a really nice community too.

I was doing what NewWan was doing. My Mac OS 9 copy of the game was no longer usable now that classic mode has been done away with. I acquired a Cider-wrapped version of the title elsewhere, but this place still popped up in my search results, and I felt compelled to investigate.

Ever since I played a port of Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, I've been dying for more in depth RPGs.  The new school just doesn't do it for me.

Well, I finished those games well over a year ago, and I've heard that only Planescape: Torment can touch the aforementioned series.  So I've been searching the web for a way to play it on my mac.  I'd all but given up, I searched for it every month or so without much expectation.  Much to my surprise, earlier today I discovered this little community.

Apparently you guys have a working port of Planescape: Torment.  Amazing.

Hopefully in time I can contribute in whatever weird way would suit me.

Thanks!

Hi all,

before I had a Mac, I was a Windows user and I still own many Windows games which over the years I've been trying to get running on Mac. A couple of days ago I was digging out a very old PC game: "Gunman Chronicles". However, I couldn't get it running with Crossover, so I started a Google search to see if any others had managed to get the game running.

Well, and that's how I got here: Saw the link on Google to the Mac port of Gunman Chronicles and now I am an impressed user of this forum ;-)
