I've recently switched from Ubuntu, for now I have hackintoshed desktop and notebook, both legal, or "legal" (by US law). Most mackintosh users just want to taste forbidden Apple, they later switch to Apple hardware. My next computer will definitely have glowing Apple on the lid.

MacBook Air 13 inch 2011 model, my only 'real' apple at the moment, but I use my hackintosh as much.

Sold the MacBookPro 15 inch (2010 model/nvidia GT330m) a month ago or so.

I do have loads of outdated apple products tho:

Most of those machines was machines my father had and I took over when he bought a new one.
The first *mac* I bought for my own money was the Umax S900, which was a legal mac clone (old school hackintosh).
I guess that was around 1997/98 (http://lowendmac.com...macs/s900.shtml) a PPC 604 CPU! This machine was a beast, with 8 ram slots! I upgraded it with a G3 CPU a few years later.
The first laptop I bought was a PowerBook G4 1GHz, which decided to die after one year and apple gave me a 1.33Ghz for free instead, good deal :D

It's a bit fun, but I have actually used every Mac OS since OS 6.0 :)

I *only* use 3 machines these days. MBA for daily use, surfing and writing. My hackintosh for more heavy work and some gaming and a Dell PC which I use a filesever and backup. THis machine doesn't even have a keyboard or monitor, just some hard disks for storage.

Mid-2010 MacBook Pro, 15', 2.4GHz, 4GB Ram.
Best feature is definitely the Trackpad. I never liked laptop touch pads but since I got this notebook I am rarely using a mouse, except for games.
